I thought Woo was cool but he was an idiot and took the wrong person to the final so I wasnt that sad to see him lose.

OMFG, what an episode! The loved ones visit and the crazy tribal where you didn't know what was going to happen (even though the vote off was a little lackluster after all that) The jury is still very much involved in the game and even got their loved ones to visit as well. Seeing so many castaways with their kids was so heartwarming (get those tissues ready) Things like this make me hate even more that Sandra left, I would love to hear her opinions on everything that is going on. This was the wrong season to leave Extinction Island. I can't wait to see what happens next.

It was nice that Edge of Extinction got to see their loved ones too! :)

It was intense, but Tribals are getting so crazy.

All the family stuff was SO BORING. I skimmed a lot of it. And there was no challenge, WHO CARES. And it took up SO MUCH of the dang episode. I don't get why they have to introduce every family member... Sorry guys, this stuff bores me to tears .

ANYWAYS, the 2nd half was interesting. Tony is so cocky. I was really rooting for Kim and Jeremy and Tyson to pull it off. Jeremy sort of screwed them, but they also didn't have the votes right? Not with Sarah using her stealer. Too bad Kim made the wrong guess and didn't protect Tyson.

Butterfly85 04-16-2020 04:52 PM

lol It depends, sometimes the family visits are nice and sometimes their whatever. It's just this time it was surprising they brought their whole family and seeing everyone with their kids just warmed my heart. Jeremy had to look out for himself, otherwise he would of been the one voted out. I usually don't like Tyson but I felt bad for him being the casualty. I wish Kim used the idol on him too but I don't blame her, it seems like no one was paying attention to him since he came back into the game. I thought they would try to go for someone bigger, was a waste of a vote IMO. Still annoying me no one is thinking of getting rid of Ben or Tony. Next week's advertisement has it looking like they want to get rid of Tony but I don't buy it. Jeremy had the right idea of splitting up Sarah and Sophie, they are HUGE threats. I think they will try to go for Jeremy again next week but I hope that doesn't happen either. Vote off Ben dammit!

WHO CARES that there wasn’t a challenge? We could use something different every now & then. I thought bringing in the whole families this time was a sweet gesture after 20 years & 40 seasons. If you didn’t watch it, fine, but it wasn’t boring this time around & was a bittersweet moment for what we’re experiencing in our world right now.

This article sheds some light on why Jeff & the producers decided to do it, and he talks about the sweet moment at the end.

Jeff Probst on his 'most personal and powerful' Survivor moment ever

Emotional and historic 'Survivor' moment has everyone sobbing

I agree that Ben or Tony need to go next! :whip: Or Sophie or Sarah!

Butterfly85 04-16-2020 10:47 PM

Last night I didn't start crying till Tony and Jeremy saw their families. They just wore me down at that point. Again, I can't even stand Tony but you could see how much he loves his family. I loved that moment at the end when the jury all dumped Jeff and gave him a group hug to thank him for their family visits too. That was a funny and nice moment lol. So I'm glad they did that for the castaways and it was the best family visit yet.

Alexa 04-17-2020 12:56 AM

I wont be reading those articles .

Ah its just a little over the top for me. I cant handle cheesy stuff like that. They are away for like what, 30 days? I'm sorry I just find the whole thing so ridiculous and we dont need half the episode on it, they can do extra footage something? But whatever, this is my opinion obviously we all have different ideas of what makes an episode interesting.

Always & Forever 04-17-2020 09:45 AM

Yeah, they’re only away for 39 days - maybe more with pre-planning & pre-interviews & stuff - but to them, 30 days could feel like 30 years... They’re emotionally & physically drained and tired and spent, so I can see why they react the way they do to seeing their loved one. And this season, they weren’t expecting to see their WHOLE family there (for most of them), so it became overwhelming & their emotions just took over.

But it’s fine. Not everyone’s gonna feel the same way about things, and it’s fine, Alexa, that you didn’t read the article(s). I posted them there for anyone who does want to. You did say you didn’t care, so I thought if you just saw it from Jeff’s perspective, you would feel a little differently, but again, you don’t have to, and we all do have our own opinions on the matter. :)

I just came across this news article yesterday. Quite interesting.
'I had no idea who I was': Jeff Probst of 'Survivor' recalls temporary amnesia scare

Alexa 04-17-2020 04:47 PM

I wonder if their kids thought they smelled bad.

I think its quite unfair that the people with kids got to have multiple family members come. I would want to have my mom and my sister and my niece and nephew come but they prob. wouldnt allow it if it werent my own kids, which is sucky.

I cant stand jeff so i dont care about his opinions lol. I hated the ending clip of them hugging him, but we can move on.

Im just glad the family episode is over now, I always fastfoward that one when it comes up lol. Nexxtttttt

CBS announces three-hour season finale of Survivor with a virtual reunion special plus two-hour season premiere of The Amazing Race in May

Butterfly85 04-18-2020 07:10 PM

I guess they mean the main episode is three hours cause first thing I thought was that it's always been three hours lol. Virtual reunion after last season's wasn't live, I feel like the reunion won't ever be the same.

Alexa 04-18-2020 08:47 PM

woo hoo, glad to have something to watch in may!

It says in the article that the 3 hours includes the reunion show. And you may be right about the reunion show going forward.

I'm also glad TAR will be back right after.

Butterfly85 04-19-2020 05:55 PM

I guess it's going to be a hell of a finale lol.
