Do you think the contestant knew it was staged

I don't think it was staged... :look: I saw him do that a couple of times on American Idol. I am sure the contestants are asked to prepare two or three songs, just in case something happens with their original song choice. In this case, Simon thought her first choice was too "old school", so he asked if she had a second song prepared and she did, thank goodness. IDK. Maybe it was staged, but with Tyra being a fashion icon, she was able to pick up helping the girl with her look...

I really thought that "dressdown" moment was embarassing, I felt uncomfortable for her  but she handled it perfectly  I really thought her first song choice was good too, she's got a great voice. True, I think they always have a backup song just in case.

I don't think it was that bad. At least Tyra didn't completely undress her or something.

They probably won't be quick to eliminate her any time soon

Who? The singer or Tyra?

Haven't watched last night's episode yet...

~Janice~ 06-07-2017 12:05 PM

^ The singer  don't really care for Tyra yet

I cried during Simon's Golden Buzzer act.

~Janice~ 06-08-2017 06:40 AM

It was a good choice, she deserved it

I couldn't believe how clear her speech was despite being deaf.

Lethally Floral 06-08-2017 07:41 PM

She lost her hearing later in life so she had already established speaking patterns. I don't think those just disappear when you're deaf.

What is hard for her as a singer isn't that she doesn't know how to sing--she probably has a muscle memory of that as well. It's that she can't hear herself and tell if she's off key or anything. Tough.

She's incredible

That is true.

I can't wait to see what the other Golden Buzzers are gonna be!

~Janice~ 06-10-2017 06:18 AM

I'm sure they'll be great!

Always & Forever 06-10-2017 08:22 AM

I hope they'll be more diverse than just singers.
