We’re expected to allow Castle’s loss to enter our own minds without the mediation of an actor monologuing. By structuring this arc in this way, the audience is allowed to connect the dots as Frank speaks. We can see him sitting in his daughter’s room, refusing to read her book. We can see that this space has become sacred in his mind, and so we jolt when we realize, along with him, that Karen has been there.Matt attempts to become the Punisher’s Father Confessor; Fisk treats him like an attack dog he can unleash; Foggy begins and ends openly terrified of him. Karen, on the other hand? She defends him to Matt, rejecting all of his good Catholic attempts to push her into agreeing with him, and remain the sweet girl she is in his mind—she even allows this argument to ruin their second date. She’s the one who talks Frank through the arguments Matt and Foggy make on his behalf, to make sure he understands. She insists that he has a moral code—and that’s after he pursued her through a hospital like The Terminator. She’s the one he comes to after his escape from prison, and she’s the only one who wouldn’t shoot on sight when he turns up at her door. He even listens to her when she tries to talk him out of killing."

I'm sooo down with this. I was talking about this somewhere else, their relationship is so intriguing... I'm not saying they should fall in love and marry, but they really have a lovely dynamic, she brings out the best from him and he sort of activates her super hero self.

And their chemistry is just out of this world. I'm glad Karen dug the truth about the Punisher, she's great at reading people and she knew he wasn't a bad person.

They do have a beautiful chemistry. It's fun that Jon (an amazing actor btw) talked about it in terms of "she's what he wanted his daughter to become" because that's not what we see on screen you know? plus they have like a ten year age gap, it's hardly a father-daughter thing. I'll bring the interview over later.

I don't doubt he probably thought it could come across like that because you can'r really predict chemistry - especially being one of the people involved in the scenes - but nope, no such thing as father/daughter. Maybe if their age gap was bigger but still, nothing about it read like a family relationship. Unless by family meaning husband and wife.

Yeah it felt a lot more like he can't touch her because she's too pure and he feels unworthy I'd love to see more, idk if that's likely though.

I don't think it was confirmed, I'm sure we'll see him again in some way shape or form because he's full on Punisher now, only question is in what capacity Karen will be involved. I would love to see something happen, even if it's chaste. Mostly because I don’t trust Matt with my baby's feelings rn
