It will interesting exactly why she has come there and who the real her is, Violet seems to be the younger character from the rest of them

From what it looks like i dont think Sydney knows who she might be

There's a bit more than Ashlee's hair colour involved. If Violet is 18, then the timing is cause for suspicion.

The Beverly Hills, 90210 franchise (that's Beverly Hills, 90210, Melrose Place, Models Inc., 90210, and Melrose Place 2.0) generally plays out in real time. Sydney was introduced in 1993. If Violet's 18, then she was born in 1991. So who knows...

If Violet is who people think she is, I'm guessing that Sydney might know. It's possible that she learned years ago, which could explain her reason for disappearing when she did.

I hope it's true. Being a Sydney fan, I'd like to see this new chapter in her character development.

Filling up Sydney's backstory is clearly a goldmine for the new show's writers. Having Violet turn out to be who we all think she's going to be enables them not only to show us what's been going on with Sydney between her supposed death back in 1997 and the present time but also to go back further in time and give us some insight of how soon in her life she went off on the wrong track. Her relationship with her parents George and Katherine Andrews was nothing if not strained on the original series, as Sydney clearly resented them seemingly preferring Jane to her.

This to me puts her in the position of having felt like she wasn't wanted by her own family while she was growing up, and having to deal with Violet's own feelings on that very subject when she shows up in MP, if their connection is established to be the one we strongly suspect.

I may be reading a little too far into things, but to me, Sydney's "I've done something really bad" line when we see her talking to David in the footage from the pilot released so far could very well have something to do with her connection to Violet.

I don't think you are reading too much into it. It is totally possible that's what she means.
