Sorry for jumping in here. I always think CSI gave us two of the best friend pairings on TV: Grissom/Catherine and Sara/Greg. Grissom and Catherine are about the same age, so of course I'd think they should have something in common. As for Sara/Greg, it's a great big sister/little brother type and Sara did the mentoring part beautifully.

But i just don't see Grissom could strike and maintain a long term romantic relationship with Catherine. Can you truly see Grissom go clubbing with Catherine? Can you truly see Catherine put up with Grissom's idiocy? Chances are she would roll her eyes and tell him to stuff it whenever he wishes to quote some famous sayings to her!

No, not as lovers. She wouldn't be content and happy with a man like Grissom. Grissom probably would be a complete nutcase if he had Catherine around him 24/7!

Well, think of them as good friends; just like Grissom and Lady Heather. Wait, Grissom had a one-night stand with LH, Catherine didn't have Grissom, but she had many other lovers. So she's doing alright.

She didn't think they were wrong then; I do believe Catherine had a different idea about what 'love' was. Life is short and unpredictable, so her attitude did tend to be 'live in the moment'. If one man didn't work out, then just shrugged it off and moved on. I thought she lucked out when she got hooked up with Det. Vartann.
