Lot of negativity towards her on the show on some boards. But I have to say I really enjoy her on the show. I know some fans were pissed off that Stella departed the show. But hey that was the actresses own choice. And Sela Ward had nothing to do with it.

I liked Stella but Jo is a very interesting character and I have to say I don't miss Stella as much as I thought I would. I really like how the character interacts with the other characters and how quickly she integrated into the show. Sela has brought to life an interesting character in Jo Danvile and added a new dynamic to a show that was getting a bit stale.

I think that Jo changed the tone of the show a little but maybe it needed the shake up? Jo does get a lot of hate but I think that comes more from people being upset about Stella being gone than it is about Jo. Lindsay gets that sometimes too from people who prefer Aiden. But when actors make the choice to leave what can you do?

With Jo, Sela has definitely created a very complete character and one with the same depth that the other actors have created over several years. I don't always like what Jo does (I disagree with her at times) but I like that. It's better to have a character that isn't always perfect.

My favorite thing about Jo is that she has managed to mesh well with the group. I actually prefer her scenes with the supporting cast than Mac. Mac/Jo scene definitely have a flavor: she helps him out of his shell, but I prefer Jo/Sid and Jo/Adam scenes. Sid and Adam tend to be the most distanced from the group probably because they're not the core players so I think it's a great idea building connections between them and Jo. Not only does it make it easier help Jo find her place in the team but it helps Sid and Adam build solid connections too.

I love Sela Ward!!! i don't watch CSI:NY before the only CSI I watch is the LV but when I heard that she'll be joining NY that's when I started watching it. I love her ever since I saw her on House. She's so pretty and great actor.

I don't care about other fans comparing her and Melinda but I love Jo. I love her character bec she's smart and knows how to blend with the group. And most of all I love her colorful sticky notes.

I love her friendship she's building with Mac..it feels like they know each other for years..it's nice. But idk if I'm the only one here who can see a great chemistry between Jo and Flack. I mean, there are some episodes who I've seen them together and I find it cute like when Jo first introduced herself to him and the scene when she was fixing Flack's tie on season 8 and such..i find them cute.
