Gunn was looking pretty good in season 4.

It's actually my favorite season for his look.

& I love how happy they were in that scene, you could just see why they worked together

Watched the scene when Fred was holding the baby and Wes and Gunn was watching her talking about how great it looked and Wes was talking about the baby and Gunn was talking about the "hot mama".

These two were the most underrated couple in the show and QUITE POSSIBLY my favorite.

Also, you can see in 4x14 that she wanted to get back together with him. Gunn was acting very Pacey Witter in that episode, comparing himself to Wesley etc

^ They were very underrated and unfortunately at the wrong time... if Gunn/Fred existed nowadays? They'd be way more popular.

Well I felt for Gunn because Fred got on my nerves in season 4 with the way she was treating Gunn.

I didn't like how they randomly changed Fred in Season 4 when she killed the Professor. I mean, as much as I loved Wesley, her romantic interest in him came out of nowhere

I agree. I don't think she even had a romantic interest in Wesley during s4, she was just looking for a distraction from her problems with Gunn. The writers said themselves when writing 5x12 that they had two episodes to develop her feelings for him, so it obviously wasn't something that had been there all along. & even then, they only gave her those feelings because they were going to kill her off & wanted to make it all about Wesley's pain - classy, right?

I don't think there were any winners in this triangle. Wesley never got a proper chance to be with her, and Gunn/Fred was destroyed for no real reason.

I always felt that they cheapened Fred's character in Season 4. Why would she get mad at Gunn for killing the Professor? She knows why he did it - because he loves her. He didn't want her to do it, because he knew she wouldn't be able to live with herself.

Same goes for Gunn - he couldn't bear Fred touching him afterward. The whole drama was so contrived. I think it was an excuse to lead up to Wesley coming back into the group.

They deserved more love in the fandom.

They were so cute together at the ballet, when Gunn was teasing her about "one last kiss"

It's clear that the writers just wanted to break everyone apart in s4, but it still sucks. Gunn did it all for Fred, to spare her the pain of killing the professor herself, Fred became really unlikeable with the way she treated him afterwards
