Yeah, Xander really didn't deserve that... & that's really not how you should treat your friends, but at least Buffy learned from it & Xander forgave her really quickly. Might have been nice if they had talked about it though, but then I guess they would have had to properly acknowledge his feelings for her

^ It was just a sad moment... it would've been nice for it to be addressed but they didn't want to go the Buffy/Xander romantic route so I guess that's why not...

I always felt like they were open to going the Buffy/Xander route, but it was just like 'not yet, not yet', until it was too late to go there

I think I could've been a real shipper if the romance continued getting build ... I already semi shipped them in season 1 although I always enjoyed Bangel. I shipped Bangel full on during season 2... until Angel turned into Angelus.

I still hoped for a Bangel reunion but my ship feels wasn't as strong as it once was and I liked the little undertones of Xander and Buffy at times.

I forgot what I was feeling during season 3 since I was shipping Angel/Faith that season. lol I guess I was just enjoying scenes with whomever Buffy shared it with...

First scene of season 4! I could've went right on the Xander/Buffy train if things got built even if I was already shipping Spuffy ... I didn't think Spuffy would ever happen but I just shipped them as enemies. lol However, I think I would have totally shipped Xander/Buffy if they got that build during season 4 ... which would mean the whole romance with Riley wouldn't had taken place.

I still can't see Xander and Buffy together, they just seemed too much like brother and sister to me but I definitely wouldn't of taken Buffy with him over Spike.

Buffy and Xander never seem like bro/sis to me and one of the main reasons why is because I felt so many sexual undertones at certain times with them... I don’t think they even ever saw each other that way and I still don’t truly believe Xander truly fell out of love with Buffy...
