I really didn't care much about Darla until we got to see her explored as a human so I have to go with human first. Season 1 of BTVS she was written terrible; in the flashbacks of season 1... okayish but still not much known about her but when we see her as a human in season 2, it makes us learn more about her and than of course we learn more about her as a vampire which I loved even more.

I loved the power couple Angelus and Darla was though and I'm still upset we never got at least one scene of how their reunion might be.

Yeah, early on btvs they obviously hadn't given a lot of thought to her, but the layers that got added on during Angel was just amazing & David & Julie always killed whatever they were given

I think it's really easy to go cheesey with vampire couples, but you could really buy Angelus & Darla as this vampire power couple

They made Angelus & Darla an evil vampire couple but it worked so well because they were like each other ride or die while doing evil things to one another. lol

Yeah, it was refreshing in that way, they didn't just sit around talking about how great there love was & then go kill people. They kept it fresh & exciting
