What is the scale? Is that like a percentage?

Cati 10-09-2003 10:35 AM

That's awesome! I was simply hoping the ratings would stay the same but they went up!

Cool news! Thanks for posting the ratings.

Here's some more good news, from www.thefutoncritic.com :

Quote:

ANGEL (WB) - Network topper Jordan Levin confirmed to Daily Variety the WB will go forward with a full season of 22 episodes for the show's fifth season. The Frog previously had the option to trim its run from 22 episodes to 13 should it have faltered behind "Smallville" this season. Last night's episode saw "Angel" holding a solid 84% in households and 87% in adults 18-49 of "Smallville's" lead-in audience according to fast national data.

Is anyone going to tell us what those ratings mean? Is that 4.7 out of 7?

That made my night.

Spike is exactly what the show needed.

Wow! That is excellent news! A full season for certain. I am glad the show is off to a good start so far. Thanks for the news Brian!

I am not too good about explaining how ratings work, I just know when a show is doing good or bad. Angel is doing fairly excellent so far this season, compared to last years ratings. The season finale of last season brought in a 3.8/5 in overnight ratings. The highest was 4.0/6 (The House Always Wins) and the lowest 2.7/4 (Long Day's Journey and Calvary). For season four's rating breakdown, click here.

I highly doubt it was just cause of Spike.

Me too. Having a kickass lead-in like Smallville helps a lot. Its the WB's number 1 rated show, right? Or is 7th Heaven still in that spot? But i'm sure having the new storyline of Spike joining is generating a lot of viewers to stay tuned-in and old btvs fans to join in.

whooo hooo!!! yay this is sooo great!

well it wasnt all spike but he has certanly helped. and i dont no cuz not all of WB"s hsows are doing as well rating wise. so so much for the whole smallvill thing. whih problbly helped 2

but this is great!!

Also the WB sure is advertising it more on its own channel. Everytime I saw a Smallville commercial there would be an Angel one. Sure it was shorter than Smallville's but its better than the lack of promotion we got in the last couple of years.
