Well since I can't post art; here's a question for all of you.

What made you a Spuffy shipper?

I think the biggest reason why I love them is because Spike would do anything for her and loves her just the way she is the good and the bad. I also think Buffy came to feel the same way about him as well. They both accepted each other for who they are.

I have never seen more chemistry between 2 actors ever!

Their love story is unique. It has everything; The banter, Sexual tension, Passion, Angst, romance with some really beautiful and tender moments and trust in each other that the other would always be there.

I think it was pretty much because I really fancied S6 Spike to begin with [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]
Then after a while (when I'd got my brain back after seeing him naked [img]smilies/drool.gif[/img] ) and got some of the backstory I started to see just how much history they'd had. I always got kind of bored with Angel's mooning over her and visa versa - not that I don't like Bangel, I just think it got a bit old - and it was just the fire and passion Spike had for Buffy that I loved.
What I really liked was how they kept screwing up all the time. Like, he chained her up and threatened to kill her for not loving him. And she was in such denial she beat him up all the time. They got so angry with each other and actually really hated each other for a while and I don't think you can have that depth of feeling for someone unless you really feel a lot for them.
The way Buffy took care of Spike in s7 and defended him really sealed it. It was like they were both atoning for past mistakes.
Plus: did any of her other b/fs care so much about the Scoobies?
And did anyone else have such explosive sexual chemistry? I still think the end of Smashed is one of the most amazing sex scenes I've ever seen. Totally without words - and sound FX after a while - it's all about the emotion. Neither of them can believe it.
And they have the best love theme, too. It's so grown up and sort of epic.
Okay, I could go on for days. Believe it or not, that was the nutshell version!

What made me a Spuffy shipper?

Fool For Love!

In that episode..I saw some of the best chemistry, story potencial, and character evolution.

James Marsters and Sarah Michelle Gellar just blew me away with the sexual undertones during all of there scenes together. The scenes between Spike and Buffy in the alley..the chemistry was electric, not to mention that it was powerful and angsty.

The scene with Buffy and Spike on the porch is probably one of my all time favorite Spuffy moments and images. Both James and Sarah acted brillantly..there were hardly any words and yet the emotions came through so well. It was a powerful, touching and heart breaking scene all at the same time. Later on I think it becomes obvious that that pretty much describes all the Spuffy scenes.

Spuffy for me is all about evolution. It wasn't idealized - love at first sight. I mean they started out as mortal enemies, there snarky banter at times almost came across as foreplay. Even as early on as season 2 there was something intense and different in how they interacted with one another. Season 5 we saw Spike's deal with his unrequited love..but I also think that this was when Buffy realized that Spike's feelings were geunine and they shared there first real emotional connection. Once together in season 6 we saw the messiness, the angst and the heart breaking lows of both characters. In season 7 we probably saw the biggest transformation..they connected on an adult, romantic and intimate level. Something I don't think either one of them really expirenced until then.

I can say that unlike any other ship..Spuffy has captivated me the most and I'll always be a fan of the relationship.
