I never thought about it, but their friendship did seem stronger during the high school years. I also thought they still had a great friendship in S4, 5, and 6 so I guess technically it was the weakest in S7. Buffy and Willow will always be one of my favorite TV friendships though.

I just don't think their friendship had truly repaired after the issues they had in s6. I do love their friendship still, but in s7 it felt like the writers mostly forgot about them & then expected everyone to buy it when they did throw in a Buffy/Willow scene where everything was fine & dandy...
