He told Angel that he (the mayor) never aged while his wife aged and became senil and that wasn`t a pretty picture.
The mayor became imortal by selling his sould and making pacts with demons but yeah he just wanted to tell Angel with that that this with Buffy wouldn`t work (when Angel doesn`t turn her into a vampire). __________________
