These scenes with Alonna are just amazing, they worked so well together. & you can see the conflict he's going through, she seems so much like his sister, but he knows that she's not

Definitely the most difficult situation Gunn has ever been in.

And he is sad he didn't protect her like he was suppose to.

I agree, these scenes are so compelling to watch in a way. It feels and seems like Alonna is very much herself, just a stronger vampire so you can clearly see why Gunn is so conflicted her... but deep inside he knows his real sister is gone and tooken over by the demon inside of her.

They have such a good chemistry too, they really do feel like family - you'd think that they had been working together for years!

That must have been the moment where Angel really won Gunn over, there he is in a room full of vampires & Angel wants to protect Gunn's crew. He had to know then that Angel really was on his side.
