I was watching some early season 2 episodes and I just loved them working together so much in the early season!

Me too, it was great how well they worked as a team even though they didn't have the best start

They did, Angel witness the darkest moment of Gunn's life, I think that played a huge part when they first started bonding

Just watched their scene from season 5 when he told Gunn how he should feel bad about what happened with Fred and how it should eat him up for the rest of his life however he sacrificed a lot for the lawyer brain, so help.

I also loved his anger towards Wes for stabbing Gunn.

Me too, I'm glad that even though he was hurting too, he knew that was wrong

I do like that scene, Angel knew what it was like to be truly sorry for something you can never make up for, so I'm glad he was reaching out to him, even though he was still angry at Gunn at that time too

Yep! I would've been upset if they just had Angel act upset and blame Gunn and go against him but yes I loved that he was upset with his decision but still told him to make use of the sacrifice he made and I still believe at that time Angel couldn't be made at a lot of the character's choices since he didn't tell them about their memories he took for Connor... and at that time they still didn't have all their memories.

Yeah, if Gunn had made different choices that Fred would still be alive, but for all Angel knew, Fred would still be alive if he hadn't made that deal with W&H too

^ Correct since a lot of their decision making changed because of that choice that Angel made when it came to their memories.

Yeah, & Angel must have known that things were going to go really badly eventually at W&H, but he still chose to do it to help Connor

I understand why Angel did it, I'll never say I don't understand that however it still doesn't change the fact that all of their memories were tampered with and the decisions... some of the decisions they made they probably never would've made if they had their real memories.

I loved Cordy sort of saying that in the 100th episode.

I loved that scene! One of their first bonding scenes.

It is, I'm really glad that they didn't have Angel taking on this 'I know better than you, let me help' attitude with Gunn, & instead, it was Angel going to Gunn for help a lot at first
