Yeah, it definitely gives me mixed feelings, but it's still one of my faves overall. Yes, it's heartbreaking, but it's so well written & Doyle does go out like a hero

It has one of my favorite pilots and my favorite finale of any show ever. Not to mention my favorite theme song.

Yeah, but the chemistry was there right from the start. And out of the first 9 eps even the weakest ones are enjoyable in some way just because of the little character moments.

Definitely, plus even in the episodes that were a bit weaker - like I Fall to Pieces, imo - you could see what the show was trying to do & how it was trying to explore different, more mature themes.

I agree, I really love season 1 of Angel, I love the theme of it and how you really see the characters evolve and become a real family.

ICA too, it's got a lot of stand alone episodes, & the arc throughout the season is more of an emotional one then a 'big bad' situation, but it's still consistent & all the eps are strong
