I think I picked Cavs sweeping Pistons and I'm going to change that because I noticed that I never pick Lebron teams sweeping anyone. So I won't start now. I'll say it's a 4-1 series.

You really underestimate OKC. I know you don't like the way they play and especially Westbrook's play but they are good enough to sweep a team. Especially a team like [sadly to admit] Mavs who is nothing but beat up... and have aging stars. Dirk Nowitzki is clearly the best player right now but he can't carry this team.

It's more that I may be overrating the Mavs- but I've watched them a bit this year, and am always impressed with how well Rick Carlisle can just do wizardry with a basketball roster. He's one of the best coaches in the league, and he'd be one of my top contenders for COTY, along with Kerr/Walton, Stotts, Pop & Clifford. And I always go back to that series where they were expected to lose in 4/5 to the Spurs and took it 7 games. And I would have picked them to get 2 games of both Clippers and Spurs and one off GSW so it's not me being biased against the Thunder, it's just I really strongly believe in the coaching of Carlisle and the continued high play of Dirk.

There are so many coaches that deserve to be coach of the year this year. So I'm really for whatever.
Carlisle is a great coach and I don't like to compare anything to the past but just two years ago, they got swept by the Thunder as well. Sometimes it doesn't matter how great a coach or a single player is if the other team is just 50x better. With J.J out and Parsons out, the Thunder should have a pretty easy sweep but I can't call it which is why I'm saying 4-1 for my benefit.

Oh and with Pistons, I am thinking they will win Game 4 and Cavs will close it out in 5.

No Problemo, Christine.

I hope for your sake you're wrong then

As for the Pistons, my view has only be strengthened tonight. I think they win Game 2, 3 and 6.

EDIT: good first half for my Clippers. Griffin has looked very good.

Pistons vs Cavs, no way is it going to 7 games. if the series does, my apologizes.

Also I'm not sure if you watched the whole Pistons vs Cavs game but while I was watching the end of it I was thinking "Tim better be upset at Reggie Jackson right now for playing 1-5 for the last three minutes of the game." What's your opinion of that? Also I was confused as to why Andre Drummond wasn't in the game for the final two minutes.... [

I'm going to just say all the top 4 teams of the West will dominate the first round. The 2nd round is when it will start getting interesting.

Now with the East it's different because it's Cavs and everybody else. Although I see a Heat vs Cavs ECF although I'd love for my Celtics to make it.

You know me to well! As soon as that game finished, I rang my friend and said Jackson lost them that game. No ball movement, not getting Harris and Morris involved in the second half and then capped it off with the game killing technical, and it was particularly shocking as he was the only Pistons starter with playoff experience and who should have known better. But that's what happens when you spend most your career deputising Westbrook #LearnedFromTheBest

But also, whether they win or lose tonight, this is why I picked the Mavs to get a few games in this series. They know what adjustments to make game to game, Felton has come up big this game, Matthews while being poor offensively has been good defensively and even Williams is having a solid game. To be down 1 with 8:45 vs the worst 4th quarter team in the league, I'd be feeling pretty good about this game if I was Carlisle. I think Mavs win tonight and win one more game but lose in 6...

EDIT: Felton is reminding my why I said back in 2013 that Felton is one of the most underrated point guards in the league. He's been a force tonight.

EDIT EDIT: What a game. That was a crazy game. Missed the first half as was watching the rest of Pacers vs Raptors but what a second half, what an ending

I have to apologize for slamming my own team.
I think it's just easier for me to keep my expectations low with me favorite team [with Celtics] because of the continually disappointments. I am proud that the Mavs at least took one game.

Felton, really? you miss two crucial free-throws... we got very lucky at the end of that game.

If, and it's a big if, but if Steph Curry is out or not playing at his MVP level, the Clippers (assuming they get past Portland) will beat the Warriors. If Curry is at MVP level, I think we lose in 6 or 7. But without Curry, they're incredibly vulnerable, and I don't think they have enough without Curry to get past Chris Paul who is playing at an insane level and is arguably the MVP of the first week of the playoffs. BUT, if Curry is playing and playing at the way he has played this season, I don't give us a shot of winning the series. Taking it to 7 games, maybe- that would be a real achievement- but without Curry or even if he's playing hobbled, I don't give them that much of a shot against a Clippers side who has hit form at the right time and are (FINALLY touch wood) healthy...

Oh and cheers for the Tuesday Greeting Matt

Matt your icon is amazing to me. Losing Chyna and Prince the same day was just heartbreaking.
I was partying April 20th and was sad the whole April 21st.
I heard about Chyna passing at 3AM before I was going to go to sleep... and I couldn't even sleepy after that so stayed up until 4AM... I had to get honored with an award which was schedule for 4PM... and then around 3PM, I heard about Prince passing and I was like WTFFF.

I'll miss them both. I never met any of them but loved their talent.

Also YES! to my Celtics winning.

Also Tim, the only thing that can stop Warriors and Spurs from meeting in the WCF is injury... however, I hope that Curry injury isn't that serious.
It'll be a reminder of Derrick Rose injury in 2012, and they got defeated by 76ers in the first round because of that and it changed the whole playoffs.

Wasn't surprised about Chyna but it was sad for her to die so young . Prince death was a huge shock . Bruce Soringsteen played Purple Rain last night in Brooklyn . Hell Tia 10 days ago another wrestler ECW hardcore Balls Mahoney died ..

I only turned on the last 5 min of the Celtics then the OT . Final 3 pt shot , brought back memories past great Celtics playoff games ! So Tim told me we had no shot , that was 2 games ago
