24: On this day
 

I'm doing an On This Day thread on the Doctor Who board, and although 24 has considerably less history than Doctor Who due to the fact that Doctor Who has been running for nearly 50 years, I still thought that it could work on here and would act as a way of discussing various actors and episodes on the anniversary of them airing.

So lets start with today:


Really strong episode, I remember Jack's scene with Marie well. It was a great scene. When Marie had Kate at Gunpoint, and Jack turned up and saved her and said 'I take it this is your sister' :lol:

Cool thread, although I probably won't have much to contribute to it... I'll try to think though...

It'll be good to discuss the various events that happened in 24 history though... plus its always a good reminder for the Birthday thread...

On March 3 in...

1959: Taylor Nichols, who played Burke in Season 5, is born.

1961: Mary Page Keller, who played Sarah in Season 7 is born.

1978: Production assistant, Matt Payne is born.

2002: 24 premieres in the UK.

The last one is very exciting. Kiefer always said had it not been for the support in the UK, the show would have been cancelled :D

On March 5 in...

1969: Paul Blackthorne, who played Stephen Saunders is born.

2002: "Day 1: 1:00pm-2:00pm" airs on Fox.

2007: "Day 6: 5:00pm-6:00pm" airs on Fox.

On this day in 2006, two great 24 episodes aired as an two-hour special on FOX.
Season 5: Episode 11 & Episode 12. Episode 11, Jack Bauer goes to question Christopher Henderson.
Episode 12, one of the saddest deaths on 24.

Great episodes... Season 5 was really heating up. I think that was a really amazing run of episodes. Also Kim returned for those two episodes.

Also today:

1968: Connie Britton, who played Diane Huxley, is born

Agreed, although S5 was good right from the start... shocking but good.

I agree, but they were two jewels in the series. The whole series was brilliant, but they were two of the best episodes in a fantastic series.

One this day episode 4x12 aired in 2005. About 8 years ago, that's how many season 24 had....

Indeed! Great episode (Although they all are), but it was the episode with the EMP bomb going off. Following episode was that epic shootout outside the store.
