I feel like this was a very Eli-centric episode and in that, a brilliant one. I hope that cliffhanger is nothing more than it is, especially because the show has shown Peter spend the previous five years of his life amending for his wrongdoings.

I like that they're focusing on alicia/cary's friendship.

Though the episode was not the earthquake we have grown accustomed to I thought it was fine nonetheless.

Was it coincident that they hinted at an intern issue with Peter the same week that Monica Lewinsky re-surfaces? Genius!

Loved that scene with Cary and Kalinda. Brief but hot. Wish they give more time to their affair.

Eli hits the high notes every time the story arc prominently brings him into an episode.

Nice to see Jill Hennessy back on the screen.

I was surprised that Hecht & Tascioni didn't work out. I thought they were going somewhere with it.

They are really turning Castro into a real villain. He's probably worse than Wendy Scott-Carr and Nick as villain goes.

I really don't want to see Cary and Kalinda in any more bedroom scenes. This off-putting fling or whatever it is needs to be over very soon.

So Finn is divorced. But he didn't divorce her? Is there more to the story? Maybe Mr. Perfect isn't so perfect afterall.

A good episode once again. This season is probably one of my favorite seasons of all time ( including other shows on TV ). It's THAT good. Everyone is on their top of the game. Only downside : Too little Kalinda.

The case was interesting and funny, the Lockhard/Canning situation seems to explode in the finale, and the last scene with Cary,Alicia and Diane was quite good.

Also liking the Alicia/Peter/Eli issues, though I am not hoping Peter will actually sleep with that woman..please no.

And OMG, we actually had Kalinda and Alicia on the phone again for like 5 seconds(!), which I didn't see coming.

I just hope they are giving Kalinda more screen time in season 6! Curious for the finale! Sad that there's no Martha Plimpton this year!

I thought this episode was a bit of a snooze fest if i'm honest. However, Canning being a saboteur was quite entertaining as was Eli's megalomania. The finale is going to have to be pretty action packed to garner my interest for next season. After that episode I have no idea where things are headed whatsoever, except for the rumours of Alicia running for SA but that episode didn't really hint at that at all.

I'm still not buying Finn as a character, i like him but I feel like he's being force-fed to us- too much emphasis, too quickly. It's been a problem with this show for the last two seasons if you ask me. The writers are wanting the audience to get on board with story lines that aren't given enough time/space to grow and earn a place in our hearts and then when they get wind of dissatisfaction, they just drop them and give us another rather than fixing/developing.

The episode was solid. I enjoyed the funny bits with Paisley and Alicia and I certainly get where Alicia was coming from having gone through a racial bias situation recently.

Eli was awesome! I wish he worked for me. Actually, it kinda made me imagine what if I had a friend like him. Always thinking on what's best for Peter and Alicia, even from the most cynical/practical pov.

Finn is not bad but as someone said he's being force fed and that's just annoying. So one Mr. perfect died and we just get another one? Oh please! Meanwhile we have a waste of Kalinda storyline. Sorry A/C fans, but everytime those two show up on that same old position, it just makes me wanna barf.

The scene with Alicia, Cary and Diane was really good. The one with Peter...made me feel sorry for him.

I hope the finally gives us some sort of insight into Alicia coming to grips with her feelings and perhaps moving on for real. Whatever that is.

I thought the episode was good, better than last week that's for sure!

-Cary and Kalinda, honestly I have no die what is going on there and like is not sexy or hot to me what in what names was that scene even about?
-Eli is my hero the man really is the voice of Reason for me last night. I was so glad he told Alicia that this open marriage stuff sounded "crazy." Is crazy how sure Alicia feels about no divorce, when she obviously is conflicted about and knows is not going to work. Is she that scared of having a divorce label?
-Zach trying on his cap and gown made the episode for me
- If Peter sleeps with that intern, might as well write him out, cause I have zero interest in seeing him with a love interest. And well Peter without Alicia is nothing really. I personally don't think anything happens, if anything is just going to push Peter to file for divorce or something. Anything to get some move forward, cause if Peter doesn't show his unhappiness, then A/P are exactly nowhere.
-Poor Diane feels more alone and alone at L&G and Canning is a dick. I can't wait until next week when Diane takes them down. With Kalinda's help of course
-Finn had two scenes, lets keep it that way.

I can't believe is season finale time, how odd has this season been. Crazy! I can't believe is coming to a close with so many unanswered questions.

Next week: LASAGANA soo excited!!

the episode thread feels more and more like the Wailing Wall

yeah they had a crystal ball when they wrote the episode 2 months ago

Please tell the writers. For some reason they are under the impression that viewers want to see that
I know there are a couple of K/C fans because hey they're young and hot, who else are you gonna ship? but from the looks of it on twitter after the episode, the majority is in the HELL NO! category.

Quote:
Only downside : Too little Kalinda
Sadly nothing new. I don't get why they are keeping her on at this point. Well, obviously to pleasure Cary but besides that? Not exactly as if she was bringing them ratings from the key demographics anymore (not by just being on the show anyway) so

this is turning to be the weirdest long-distance-relationship-in-the-same-town ever

When is he not? They should have called him Canned

And when you think it was Brooke who directed this, you really wonder wtf is going on. Remember the footsie between Kalinda and Lana in Net Worth? How can you direct this and then... that

The show is becoming increasingly schizophrenic. It's bound to get worse as more of the cast fall away and with JM not wanting F/A anymore...

I agree. I really hate to say this but I'm just so bored now.
I understand that this show is about Alicia, but JC/Will's absence in the show rally made a difference to me

Of course it did. JC was a defacto male lead. He's never been promoted as such but he was certainly written as such. The show was partially told from his perspective, which was never the case with other "supporting" characters, even back when Kalinda wasn't in the dog house. So it does change a lot.

Brooke directed the Lana making her way up Kalinda under the sheets scene in 4x03 too. The thing is you can't direct "hot and sexy". Either the two characters have it or they don't. Obviously K and Lana had abundance of hot and sexy together. Cary...not so much.

But we should give the Kings props for creativity. It sure is a great way to solve the "structural barrier" problem. It keeps Kalinda connected to the core of the show by phone. I can see this is how it's going to be for the rest of the series.

Yes, he had lead role material throughout, except season 4. In the first two seasons, there are episodes where he has more scenes and better material than Julianna. They just never promoted him enough. They promoted him a lot in the 5th season, but that was just fattening the goat before killing it.
