Well its an online DVD rental company. So I pay a monthly fee and I get to have 3 DVDs at a time at home, unlimited a month. So I can never have more than three disc at home. So I make a list of all the DVDs that I want and Netflix mails it to me, once I am missed I mail it back and they send me the next DVD on the list. So the plan works on a monthly fee, not by indiviudal DVDs. So if a DVD does not play (which does not happen often) all I do is request a new copy. So because I can get as many DVDs as I want in a month (all depends how fast I watch them and send them back) they charge a fixe fee. Not sure if I explained it very well
