This episode is one of my favorites. :nod:

First off, Alexandra is dead and is killed by Elektra. That makes 2 of them dead and Elektra becomes the big bad now. :thud:

I enjoyed the fight scene between Danny & Matt in the beginning but they are right. Instead of wasting time fighting each other, they need to move and look for leads. This doesn't make sense to me yet but they said that Danny is the "key" and they need a lock to open something. Obviously the Hand wants Danny but for what? Although later on, we did see him get captured by Elektra so I guess it's time to rescue him now.

Jessica & Matt go off on their own to investigate that man Jessica has been following since ep 1, the architect. They find some sketches hidden in his piano. Matt mentioned that dark black hole (DD S2) that he & Elektra found. Both Jessica & Matt form a newfound friendship in this ep which was really so nice to see. :)

This ep also paired off Luke & Danny (whose "friendship" btw, I'm enjoying on the show). Later on, Stick tries to kill Danny. And later on Elektra kills him. Is he really dead for good this time? I feel like in DD S2 he could have died multiple times but he still lives. :lol:


Also, that flashback scene with ME legit made me tear up. I WAS NOT PREPARED FOR THAT. The Elektra we have right now, that's not her. She's a trained assassin but with only one mission: to kill The Defenders. Alexandra, in the end, trained the perfect weapon. :cry:

well, Elektra did decide to kill Alexandra when she ordered her to kill the Defenders so she didn't really wanna do it. especially when she told her to kill DD, that was it for Elektra:nod:

I re-watched this ep (haha) but yeah, looks like Elektra is defective. And she was pushing Matt away from her life by fighting him.

My gosh that scene of Elektra killing Alexandra made me go OMG. :thud:

Btw, were you guys disappointed by how she died too early or did you feel like her story has served it's purpose on the show?

hm, that's interesting:look: I know that I wanted Alexandra to be as far away from Elektra as possible cause she never saw her as a human being and made her do such horrible things.
I was really surprised when Elektra did it, maybe cause there were no warning signs really. although after the encounter with Matt she started asking questions and she even tried to attack Alexandra once. but I thought it served a great purpose in Elektra's arc and the show wasn't that long so I guess it happened at the right time:nod:

I felt torn actually. I feel like I wanted her around until the very end but that's the usual expectation so having her death a bit early on is definitely a shocker. Also, I was getting worried for Elektra (which I probably shouldn't, haha) because Alexandra really wanted to use her as the "weapon" to carry out The Hand's plans. As we can see, The Hand is also dispensable (except probably Gao) and they can't always win.

oh, all these superhero shows would be hopeless if the villains couldn't lose:sigh:

i liked her character, i was sad when she was killed, but at the same time wasnt really shocked at it either. you knew it was going to happen at some point.

^ That's true. At some point, it was inevitable and it was going to happen. :nod: I did literally gasp when she was making that speech and all of a sudden, she was gasping and falling down and then cut to Elektra. Literally had my mouth open at that scene. :thud:

Same here, Lindsay. :eek: A pretty graphic scene too, but not anything I couldn't handle after seeing Dexter. :P

Yup! Kind of like DD S1/S2 as well. There was a lot of graphic stuff whenever Fisk was around. Oh and JJ S1 too got really graphic towards the end. :nod:

btw in that particular scene I was kinda mad Matt couldn't tell that Elektra had been there:sigh: but he probably still had a hard time sensing her after the resurrection..

I think he knew only when he noticed something in the book was missing but yeah, I also attribute it to him not really sensing her that much after the resurrection. :(
