Really?!?!?!?! Wow, I didn't know that. They definitely pay paramedics in Minnesota and Ohio. Why not New Jersey?
Maybe I'm just talking about my town...not the large cities. Our EMT's and Firemen are all volunteers.

I don't think paramedics/EMTs get paid enough. It is such an important job.

Maryland is up there, too. Good thing for Kevin!

I love Kevin! Connor is awesome too. Both brothers have changed so much since season 1. They are so great in season 2! Kevin has allowed us to see his true self and Connor has gone from an immature guy to a serious, humanitarian. I love them both.

Connor was so misguided. He didn't want to be stuck in a place that he was already beginning to hate. He didn't want to do the big law practice thing. So he started to have second doubts, was law really for him. Now he's getting excited into actually doing work that he loves and it's what he studied for. It's like Gran said, he should stick with it as part of his journey. Look where he is now

So true. I really like the place he's in now. He's got a perfection combination of peace and maturity.

Do you think Georgia will come back on the screen? I am so afraid of Kevin and Sarah working it out, reuniting, finally being happy together and then Georgia shows up.

if Georgia hasn't resurfaced by now and they've broken up, I don't look for her to come back. But this is TV, so you never know. Honestly, I didn't see him that in love with the idea of spending the rest of his life with Georgia. (tv show that is) She was all military. I see Kevin wanting a family, putting the military behind him and focusing on life as a civilian. I didn't see Georgia in that lifestyle.

Very true. It seemed like the moment Kevin came home he was immediately pulling away from Georgia. It was almost as if they lived in an unreality before this time. They kind of used each other during that time in the military and once that was over and Kevin was finally home, he started pulling away from her. We witnessed the assumed substance in their relationship crumbling right before our eyes. It would make zero sense to conjure up something more between them now way after the fact when they never fought to save the relationship when it was dying. I just hope they don't go all soapy and we have to see Georgia's mug once again, even for an episode when Kevin tells her to get lost.

I think Kevin thought Georgia was the girl for him. He had been in Afghanistan for a few years, completely shattered from reality. Georgia had the same military interests as Kevin did, but not the same faily goals. With Kevin being away from his family for all that time, I think he forgot what it felt like to have all of them around. So returning to home and Georgia being unapologetic and the family being stunned by their engagement, I think it gave Kevin a lot to think about. Like how did Abby tell her parents she was engaged, it definitely wasn't "here's my fiance" when no one has laid two eyes on her fiance. I think being at home, even with Georgia taking care of him, really made Kevin realize how important family is. He loved his career in the military, but it's not his life. He wants a family, children, to live at home. Being at home, Kevin realized he would never find that with Georgia. She didn't even close want what Kevin wanted. Too bad they realized that after they left the idealist area of Afghanistan where not much family was felt, so you held close of who you could.

That's how I see it anyway
