Betty, I think I figured out after all these years our little fight about MLS versus playing in Europe has come to a conclusion…

I think we’re both right!

You were absolutely right that Pulisic does not get that good unless he’s in Europe playing with the highest quality talent. Reyna, same thing. At the same time, we saw how MLS is still a very good league and sometimes as far as our National Team, it’s not about being in the top league, it’s about being good and developing chemistry.

In other words, Pulisic is right where he was meant to be and some of our really good MLS players are right where they are meant to be. Together, they form the USMNT and look at the amazing talent we have. The talent is the highest it’s ever been and we have never had this amount of depth on this team like we do now. It's a dream come true. It’s exciting.

It is unfortunate that if we had only scored in Mexico we could have been celebrating getting qualified in front of our home crowd. Now we will (hopefully) have to celebrate in front of a hostile Costa Rican crowd.
