No, not gay rights. I think it's the kneeling. I really believe many of the players were afraid not to because of pressure. I could be wrong, but it's my gut feeling. Remember...Carlii never knelt.

I agree. I personally find it wrong for athletes to kneel when the National Anthem is played or at any sporting event. I think it's disrespectful to our country.

People have struggles that no one knows about. She had her whole life in front of her. My heart goes out to her family and friends. May she Rest In Peace.

Good point. The only way it happens is if they find a way to get a better draft spot. Otherwise, he’ll be gone by 20.

So well said, Jerry. My heart breaks for those she left behind.

I was reading comments from the extreme right (and others around the world with that mentality) claiming she died due to vaccines. Such vile people that exist.

This is so sad and so frightening in that people who seem to have it all and are happy are not and we often don't find out until it's too late. Depression is so scary because sometimes there's nothing you can do about it.

Katie Meyer's parents have now spoken out about her death:

It would be awful to think that the threat of disciplinary action by Stanford for defending a teammate on campus may have pushed her over the edge. This story is so heartbreaking.
