When Ryan said that he didn’t think Jodi would have been able to let Travis go because of his status, and his influence... I think that is 100% bang on. The easy explanation for many is she was obsessed and completely in love with him. I don’t think she was. I think it was all about knowing who he was, the connections he had in that business world, and his social status. She was basically a Gold Digger. I believe when she met him in Vegas it was all about what he could do for her. Becoming his wife would have allowed her to not have to work and she could freelance as a photographer, work on her art, but not have to worry about making a living. She was going to do whatever it would take to wrap him around her finger. Thus, she converted to Mormonism. The mistake she made though was when she found out he definitely was into having sex... while she could emotionally manipulate him with sex, she also ruined her chances of ever becoming his wife because he didn’t see her as pure and worthy. However, I don’t think she gave up the fight and would continue to reel him in with sex thinking eventually she would break him down and they would end up together and get married. Again, it wasn’t about love. I think she had feelings for him initially (even if it was more due to status) but those feelings turned to hate when they became so toxic and she ultimately just wanted to use his status and social standing. I think she believed she put up with so much crap (in her mind) so her only payoff and justice was to get him to marry her. She realized late May after that last fight it was hopeless. Her only justice then was killing him because she wasn't about to sit back and watch another woman marry him when in her mind, she owned that spot.

The irony is Ryan Burns is so successful within the company. He’s married with children and filthy rich. His wife is just as successful as Ryan. They have both made millions at Legal Shield and are considered THE biggest money makers within the company. Ryan became even more successful than Travis, especially with his wife’s success too. They are a power couple making millions. Jodi is so stupid. She could’ve had it all with Ryan and blew it, lol. Ryan wasn’t even a practicing Mormon so she wouldn’t have had to bother with that aspect either. Joke is on her and a blessing for Ryan.

I finally got my own car when I was 19, a 1973 Dodge Colt. It was a piece of garbage and it spent more time in the repair shop than on the road. I bought my first new car, a 1979 Chevy Nova, in February of 1979 for $4,994.00 and I really liked it.

What did they think that they would achieve by calling Lisa on the stand?

Makes sense . I still can't comprehend how people would not see her bad side. I am not talking about her dark side of killer. I am talking about her narcissism and ego. That's something that can be seen even in her journals. You don't need a lot to see that part of her.

I agree with this assessment. She first created a picture of him in her head that had nothing to do with reality. He was her prince charming, the one that would give her everything she wants and he will respect her and treat her great. He did not fit into this and at some point she started despising him for not fitting into the idealized picture she had in her mind about him. She compared him to what she wanted him to be, but he never was that and he never promised her that.

It's so good that Ryan made it successfully and that he is happily married. A lot of people that had to testify in this trial were happily married with families and had to be drag into this whole mess cause of Jodi.

^^^ I am in love with Forest Green as a color. It's the Earth-Sign inside of me. I LOVE the Forest Green, all greens (but especially deep greens), darker blues, browns.

That car is awesome. I even notice the beautiful nature/coloring next to the car, lol... the many colors of green surrounding that beautiful Forest Green car and even the brown/green grass.

That car is spectacular. Good choice, Betty.

Thanks! It was a beautiful car. I don't think they make this color anymore.
The top was black vinyl and the interior was black vinyl.

100%. Apparently they talked on the phone the night before she was arrested. She was trying to make plans with him for a next in person meeting. Everyone around Ryan was telling him NOT to go there, or even talk to her anymore, she was not to be trusted. Amazing how everyone knew the second Travis was murdered, Jodi was the killer. Everyone knew, no one had a doubt... Ryan claims he did for a second initially because he didn't really know her and didn't put the timeline together just yet. But everyone was convincing him not to have any contact with her. He told her until everything was sorted he didn't want to move forward with her. He said as he kept putting all the facts together, more and more he realized she probably had something to do with it. So scary. Imagine being Ryan? He was kissing a murderer within 12ish hours of her slaughtering Travis. Horrible.

Yes, he was very proactive and his testimony helped Juan get a conviction.

Good question. Jen W kept asking Lisa about their age difference... it was so weird. Sure they were ten years apart but she wasn't a minor or anything. I honestly do not understand why they thought Lisa's testimony would help outside of Lisa having to admit that Travis cheated on her with Jodi. As if cheating = a reason for Jodi to slaughter him.

Her testimony helped the prosecution because she was able to admit tires were slashed. The threatening email and she said she broke up with him due to weird things happening. It was obvious Jodi did all of these things. Backfired on the defense, big time.

I know, it's really weird.. Even with Daryl she ended up getting a boob job since apparently his ex wife had a nice body or something. I don't remember the story. But Jodi was a chameleon. She turned herself into whatever she thought the guy wanted her to be... she got the boob job because of Daryl's ex wife, she turned to Mormonism for Travis. This part was definitely the borderline aspect of her.

Interesting. I bet he still has those tendencies too. Hopefully he's not with some woman who allows him to strut his abnormal, clingy, unhealthy behavior but my guess is he probably found someone who will allow him to be like that since that's usually how it works.

What they had was the definition of unhealthy. She was using him, trying to gain something from him and Travis used her for sex that he could have in secret while he had to hide it from everyone and he loathed himself while going there too. They were absolutely toxic and if you look at their astrological charts and put them together... the absolute definition of toxic and not the least bit compatible.

Absolutely.

Precisely. Ryan is happily married with children, Lisa is happily married with children, and Mimi is happily married with children. These are people she used or hated. They all moved on and are doing just fine while the sociopathic witch is where she belongs... in a cage locked up for life. I feel sorry for her roommate since apparently she does have one. I couldn't even imagine how many people she has conned in prison. Oh well, justice was served. Throw away the key.

I can't say I am a car expert or anything, but I do appreciate a cool car. I love the pic, Betty. That is a great looking one.

My 1986 Thunderbird was 2 Tone: Dark Maroon on the hood, roof and trunk, and Light Maroon on the sides. My 1997 Thunderbird was Dark Green Metallic. I got to pick it myself, as I ordered the car from the factory. It had a V-8 Engine. I loved it!
