Not yet, unfortunately. I got caught up watching basketball and then most of Riverdale. I will watch shortly. Have you seen The Flash or Riverdale yet?

 Thanks, Jerry!

 Riverdale was extremely dark tonight! I was shocked so many things were revealed too. I have to rewatch to say more because I haven't seen the entire episode but based on what I did see, this show just keeps getting darker and darker.

Eventually, she does always prevail. It's just... it would be nice if from time to time we could see her totally dominate an enemy... we should be seeing this fairly regularly given her superpowers. It's pathetic we have to hope to see this occasionally since it should be happening quite regularly!

Alright, that sucks.

What did you think of The Flash?

I collapsed last night right before attempting to watch both Riverdale and The Flash, lol. I sat down on the couch all ready to press play and that's the last thing I remember until my dog woke me up this morning for food. I'll have to watch both today.

For sure  .

The connection is so natural it's an impossibility to stop it even if an attempt was made. It's really unique. :)

I hope we hear something soon!

Maybe it was a predator Andrew Kreisberg thing? Supergirl is shutting down temporarily until April so Berlanti can catch up. He's going to be very actively involved from this point forward apparently. The speculation is Andrew Kreisberg and his dirty hands touched Supergirl more than any other. So Berlanti needs to step in and repair/create. Maybe with Berlanti back in full force intimately involved again we will see Kara as Supergirl in a different (but good) way when fighting her enemies. We will see.

Barry's out of prison now for good, right? Maybe that will help.

Possibly. It depends on what mood I'm in. Season 1 gets pretty dark, so I have to be in the right head space for that.

Also, to answer another of your questions: I usually buy my comics from Midtown Comics online because they usually sell them at a discount, especially if you pre-order them. That and because the closest comic shop to me is 80 miles away.

Do you think it's cheaper overall to buy comics online versus a comic shop? I have comic shops around me, even a few within a 10-mile radius. I would love to go to one and browse but have feeling the approachable issue will bite me... salesperson talking like crazy and I end up purchasing comics at a bloated price when I could have gotten them cheaper elsewhere, lol.

The Flash 4.13: TRUE COLORS

I actually liked this episode overall. Getting my biggest annoyance out of the way though... WestAllen had their wedding interrupted not once but twice for different reasons... short honeymoon interrupted then Barry goes to prison for a crime he didn't commit. The definition of annoying. Finally Barry gets out of prison and we don't even see a nice reunion moment between Barry/Iris... the you are my home was cute and all but come on. We should have gotten hand holding, a kiss, a little more. I just wanted more considering it seems like WestAllen are constantly sacrificed. It's annoying but not maddening, however.

Regarding the episode in general...

I am thrilled that Barry is finally out of prison. I loved Grant's portrayal as Barry in prison, though. He did a nice job. That said, thankfully Barry is reunited with Team Flash once again. The Bus Meta theory is quite probably true. DeVoe wants these people for a specific reason, absorbing their bodies/powers... reason/s not known yet. What makes it even more horrific is the Bus Metas are probably the least evil meta group. You could see it with the current ones... they showed a human side. I was sad for Becky. I really liked her. I wonder if there's a way she somehow survived but I doubt it, unfortunately. It looks like Ralph will be on his hit list sooner rather than later. Speaking of Ralph... I am annoyed at all the backstory he is receiving. It sucks. That said, I don't hate him. I figure he's getting a lot of screen time because Barry wasn't around so hopefully he will go into the background more in the future.

Good episode in general for Barry. I LOVED seeing him use his intelligence finding a way out, while using his precious empathy for the others. I also think he made a sound decision not wanting to leave prison as a fugitive. He had faith in Team Flash that they'd find a way to get him out and that is precisely what happened. I love this intelligent, strong, mature Barry. This season has been a success just based on Barry's transformation alone.

Say what you want about Ralph... he came up with a great idea and was 100% responsible for getting Barry set free. The plan for Ralph to shape shift into DeVoe was pretty awesome. I loved seeing Marlize scared and shocked. We haven't seen DeVoe or Marlize shocked and in fear all this time but Ralph made it happen with the awesome move. Cecil telling the judge this is just how the city works... weird crap happens all the time... smart move, too. I found it interesting when it was explained that they were in the Midwest. Cool tidbit. I need a double lock on my door now, haha.

The biggest storyline in this episode was clearly Marlize and how she's becoming scared, even repulsed by what her husband is doing. She sees him as now deranged and that is never a good thing. You can tell she didn't sign up for psychopath/murder. How sick was DeVoe drugging her so she'd share a romantic moment with him... as a woman? It's just so strange and disgusting. I hope Marlize gets away from him. I am starting to feel sorry for her.

I definitely enjoyed this episode. I have read the reviews. I guess more people than not liked this episode. So I'm not in the minority it seems even if I have a couple frustrations with the season overall such as lack of WestAllen key moments, Caitlin needing to do more (although I like how KF is being used), the loss of Wally.

Well, I haven't been in a comic shop yet that had a chatty/pushy salesperson. They always ask if I need any help, and then just let me browse at my leisure.

Going to a comic shop is a good way to get a look at what's out there, and it's a good way to get a feel for the comics themselves. Lots of people fall into the trap of expecting the cover to be indicative of the level of art inside, and that's not usually the case, especially with indie comics. It's not that big an issue for me overall, but truly terrible interiors can detract from the story for me, especially if the creators sprung for some big name cover artist to pull people in.

Cost wise, it depends on the shop if you end up paying more or less. Some shops have pull lists for individual customers, and those can vary from them just pulling issues of comics that you are interested in so you can purchase them whenever you make into the shop, or they can be stuff that is ordered specifically for you. My shop that I go to when I can offers a discount on the second kind of list, but charges cover price for the first. Lots of online retailers are the same. You can look through Previews and pre-order stuff at a discount, or you can just 'subscribe' to certain issues and they'll send them to you. Of course, in the end, the discount you can receive from online retailers usually gets at least partially absorbed by shipping charges. Some of the bigger ones offer free shipping once a certain dollar amount is reached, but not all do. Some of them charge extra for bags and boards as well, but then again most comics shops do too.

Personally, I like pre-ordering them, because then I am done. I don't have to do anything but sit back and wait for the comics to arrive. One downside of pre-ordering is that the items you are pre-ordering aren't going to hit the shelves for around three months. Also, if a book has multiple covers, you don't always know what all of them look like. Often, a book will ship with a bunch of different ones, but only one or two are available to look at.

This episode of Riverdale did nothing to dissuade me from my "Chic is really the Black Hood" feelings that I've had since they introduced him, and he loomed creepily over Betty's sleeping form.

Also, I had hope that Betty was breaking the weird hold that Chic has on her when she was flipping out on him about his drug dealer, but then her dad comes in and she's right back to defending him. Ugh. Stupid Betty.

Lucky you!

It’s not just a comic shop for me. It’s a running joke with family/friends that strangers will find a way to talk to me... even strangers who are quiet and introverted, lol. I must look wimpy and overly nice, lol.

So I get nervous in stores especially.

While you're out at the shops looking around, see if they have Previews. It's a catalog of upcoming comics, game, toys, movies, etc. It's around $5 bucks to buy, but if you do end up starting to pre-order comics, a lot of them threw Previews in for free or discounted.
