I can't believe it's over.

The episode was perfect. The fight, the Delia/Madison scene, the last Ephison scene. Oh god, especially the last Ephison scene. It was so beautifully done. When they kissed their last and final goodbye kiss, I totally lost it. I don't think I've ever cried this much. I miss them so much.

They changed each other's lives. He'll NEVER forget her and she'll never forget him. And we'll never forget their beautiful relationship.

I still have hope though, one day, we'll get a reunion!

I've never seen a beginning and end of a relationship done so beautifully. Most of the time, I get upset, but this time, I was upset in a happy-omg-I'm-gonna-cry way.

The last scene conveyed truth and honesty. Madison was genuine when she finished Ephram's line about never being just friends, 'they were just... in love." And once again, Ms. Lancaster had to stand there looking all angelic-like. Ugh!

I can't believe it's over too. And Irv's narration was just so appropriate. It described what happened to both of them.

"A heart is a fragile thing. That's why we protect them so vigorously, give them away so rarely, and why it means so much when we do. Some hearts are more fragile than others. Purer, somehow. Like crystal in a world of glass, even the way they shatter is beautiful."

WAHAHAHAHA *crying*

Add me to the list! Last nights episode...man, that was the best (meaning most genuinly heartbreaking) breakup I've ever seen on TV (granted, most of my shows don't lend themselves to good breakups, i mean on Alias it just seems easier to kill Syd's love intrests, but anyway...).

So. Sweet. and perfect, and everything. Damn, I really liked them together! But you know what, I think I'd be happier if they didn't get back together again, at least not for a LONG while (like if the show goes into his college years...maybe). that was just...a perfect end.

LMAO! I know exactly what you mean. With the exception of Vaughn, all her other love interests has been killed. Notice though, Sydney has seen Vaughn get shot twice *shakes head.*

If there was anything else (and there's a lot) in their relationship that they exceed in, it's their capacity to be overwhelmingly honest when it comes to their emotions. In moments when they can no longer put a front and say what they truly and emotionally want to say. Those are the moments that have me bawling like a baby, and it certainly has me exhausted.

Yes, they are all those things and more. Irv's narration as Ephram drives off hits too close to everything both Ephram and Madison have experienced together. "A heart is a fragile thing. Both their hearts were fragile. Damn! I swore to myself I would never get caught in another tragic-induced love affair on TV. Damn Berlanti. I'm getting enough of that from Joss Whedon's shows.

You know, a part of me wishes that they don't, only to guard myself from further emotional distress. LOL! Seriously, these two have truly played with my emotions: going from full happiness to total depression, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

Nadia, it's not just you I noticed that some of the stuff at we've discussed here has popped up in shows. Like when Madison was trying to explain to Delia that her and Ephram were in different places at the moment, I thought, "That's exactly what Nadia said!"...I'm starting to think that we have some writers lurking over here [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] That would be neat.
Oh, your title is excellent...I'm thinking we'll be whizzing through this one fast enough.

I have both east and west coast stations so I got to watch it twice (taped it the second time around), so I was up until one watching this...in tears. In the final scene when Madison opens the door and sees Ephram, it made me melt how genuinely happy she was to see him. When he said he wasn't there to get back together, you could see the disappointment on her face...Like she was still hopeful, but had to face reality. That last kiss...I was almmost sobbing, because it was like they didn't want to let go, but they had to.
I thought it was sweet that Madison wanted to be his friend, just so she'd be around him, you know?

I was happy that they were interacting so well. ALL their scenes together were perfect, even the fight. "He can't help himself. He's just that nice a guy." "If Martha ever goes to jail, you could take over her empire" Irv's narration at the end broke my heart...Nuff said.

Oh! And who would have thought that the UH discussion b/w Andy and Madison would rear its head ever again. This show is actually really good with continuity...it really has been six months. Wow!
OK, I'm getting teary just thinking about it...I'm also watching it again. Will have more to gush about later [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

WOOHOO!!! I've got the power *looks around* no... no I don't. There was a lot of things that I've wanted that were shown last night. We were finally given insight into Madison's feelings through her scenes with other actors. Namely, Delia and (more or less) Andy. We were finally given shots through Madison's POV... the first JB scene when Ephram leaves and she closes the door, one of the rarest times where we don't get the shot of Ephram leaving but the shot of Madison closing the door, leaning against it, and near mad to tears. Eek! *faints* Then, as Delia and Madison is playing spit and she tells Delia she'll be right back, oh man, you know she was going to cry herself a river. Then, the last shot... OMG! I can't take this anymore... *breathe, Nadia. Breathe*

Anyone else get butterflies in their stomach when Madison admitted that she can't stop thinking about him. Hehehehe... She sooo loves him. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Like Ephram, Madison knows full well what she lost. They were both grabbing onto whatever they could to somehow compensate for not being together, but in the end, it simply hurt too much. I quote Spike, "You're not friends. You'll never be friends. You'll be in love till it kills you both. You'll fight, and you'll shag, and you'll hate each other till it makes you quiver, but you'll never be friends. Love isn't brains, children, it's blood... blood screaming inside you to work its will."

All their scenes were magnificent, weren't they. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] I was laughing hysterically when he was describing the new lady as Mrs. Doubtfire's evil twin, and Madison responding that "she can't be that bad..." then Ephram concluding that she won't let Delia chop, and all of the sudden, Madison's face has this *shocked* impression saying "but she loves to chop." LMAO! Seriously, for even a broken up couple, those two are always making me laugh.

Oh, and Madison's scene with Dr. Brown after Ephram leaves to wash his hands. Andy's "There's a fine line between *insert word, I can't remember* and stupidity...." and then Madison tries to explain that it's for *nods towards Delia* and Andy catching on and *nodding towards Delia* too, because they were talking about her. That one small scene alone had me in hysterics.

I was definitely surprised. But you're right, particularly when in regards to JB, the writers' have definitely taken a keen interest in keeping up continuity. Examples: Ephram explaining how he has had experience in firing babysitters (East Meets West), Madison and Dr. Brown's talk (Unhappy Holidays), etc. Don't be surprised if Ephram's gift for Madison makes an appearence in the future. I've got this gut feeling that it'll never be over between them.

It's also definitely nice to have validation to exactly how long JB has been together. Six months. Wow! Really, that's pretty damn good for a high school junior and a 21 year-old. Plus, that 3-4 months prior to them getting together. So, they've known each other for nearly 10 months. Give or take a month. [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

P.S. Argh! Midterms this week. Ugh!

Despite the emotional anguish I've experienced *lol* from watching this couple from beginning to end, I am really pleased by the way the writers handled Ephram/Madison's relationship. It would have been nice if they had actually stayed together but from start to finish, it was perfect. I don't think E/M's relationship could have written any better. Props to Berlanti and the rest of the crew. Though screwing with our emotions like that, jackass. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

And yeah, Irv's narration utterly and completely dead on. Sometimes Irv's narrations can be cheesy but this time, it was just...perfect. I think that's basically the best word to describe E/M as of now. Perfect.

Candace, I totally noticed how Madison's face fell when Ephram when he said he wasn't there to try to win her back. They both had a tiny glimmer of hope that they could work things out and get back together. So did we. [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

Yay for continuity! The writers of certain other shows should take notes. And I never expected the A/M conversation to ever come back again and to actually be a part of the reason why things fell apart. Stupid talk. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

I'm glad that the funny parts of JB equaled the sad ones. You both mentioned stuff that I noticed too [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img] Finally Madison's POV...about time, man!

Loved the "prison intervention" bit. Too cute! The end where they were joking about it being weird that they kept bumping into each other [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] Loved it!
Oh! I was hallucinating when they were getting ready to have dinner, because I thought they touched hands when he was saying that she had to learn how to make wreaths out of pinecones...Checked again, and their hands just looked close enough to be touching.
Which reminds me of their first scene when Ephram was trying to get past her to leave her house. I just wanted her to grab him and kiss him [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

I've also got some reasons, but I'm sure there are more to be found just out of this episode:

Someone HAS to make avatars for that last scene... OK, whole episode. Madison did look angelic, didn't she? I think just an avatar of her big smile would sum up their entire relationship for me.

Though i'm a Ephram/Amy shipper....i was touched by their scenes yesterday. it was one of the most powerful anf dearful breakup ever...no anger, no frustrations...just a sadful and sweet breakup at the doorsteps. Ephram acted so well with his emotions and when Madison said "we were in love"...that was to bear in watching the rest.

i have to say that i did admire their relationship through their breakup performance. very touching.

Thank you so much, Jay. It means a lot. I'm open to Ephram/Amy as well, but like all relationship, I need time until I'm ready to see Ephram pursue another relationship. It's certainly nice to have more than one 'ship to root for.

Sadly, there are no clips up for JB... atleast, not that I know of. I'd do it myself, but alas, I'm illiterate in areas such as those.

Thanks for coming by, Jay_10. I don't mind E/A myself, but like Nadia said, it was good to have another couple to root for. This unexpected romance has been the highlight of this season, IMO (I'm very biased, of course). I'm not ready to see Ephram in another relationship right now. I mean, it would just negate everything that was being established these past six months. I do like the idea of Amy pursuing Ephram now...My, how the tables have turned...

The WB11 site always neglects to put up pics for episodes we NEED them for, like Blind Faith. It's a conspiracy!
After The Apprentice finale, I think I'm going to change my sig to Irv's end-of-episode narration...
