Yay, new thread coming up! We'll have to start voting on thread titles soon [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] Nadia, added the songs and I'm looking forward to reading the rest of your fic. I was watching UB again yesterday, specifically the Jailbait parts, just so I could compile a reason list...Here's what I came up with, but I'm not sure about all of them:

*Because they don't play games.
*Because there's good stuff here that's worth saving.
*Because she talks to her friends about him all the time.
*Because she really digs him.
*Because she thinks he's perfect and an amazing guy.
*Because she didn't want to open his gift without him there.
*Because the unopened birthday gift is filled with possibility.
*Because she really, truly did fall for him. (Yay!)
*Because if there was anything that she could do to save their relationship, she'd do it.
*Because at the end of the day, they really tried. (Not hard enough, if you ask me...)
*Because he thinks she has very expressive eyes.
*Because they plan to maintain a strictly professional relationship. (This might pose a problem...
*Because they were in love. (Eek! Madison gets the best lines!)

I had been spoiled about this episode weeks in advance and there was a Jailbait scene cut out... They also altered the scene where Ephram and Delia got shopping for Maddy's gift: Yeah, and the birthday party scene was completely different: Madison was motioning to Ephram to join her on the dance floor; Ephram left the present on Madison bed, not the kitchen counter; Ephram left during the middle of the party, without saying goodbye.
I'm actually glad they changed that whole thing because then the breakup would have probably been a fight or something.

I was actually relieved that they edited out and rearranged those scenes. How many times can we see that Ephram isn't old enough to drink? I think we got it the first few (a lot) of times. LOL!

They cut the last part of the 'shopping scene' (Which I was really looking forward to), they altered the party scene and deleted (thank God!) the restaurant scene. I believe they did this to express that Madison has indeed "fall for him." We are shown once again that they don't have that typical clean-cut image of a couple. They're messy, totally out there, and to even go a little deeper, could even be called tragic. I think that very quality is what makes JB so gorramm interesting. They're like a ticking time-bomb of possibilities.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one that spoils myself on Jailbait info...I am trying to stop. It totally kills the surprise value, so I'm going to try to refrain from reading anymore spoilers. Does anyone know if there's a patch for this? [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img]

The posters at the WB community board are vicious, yo. I would recommend staying away from there if you don't want to have your mind filled with rubbish rumors and spoilers.

I was reading Nadia's quote compilation on the first page and I'm actually hoping that things will come full circle for them. Ever since their hookup, it's all they fight about. I say, bring back the sexy political banter! Anything to keep these two on speaking terms. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img]

Patch? Nope. [img]smilies/smile.gif[/img] But based on past experiences, the only way to stay as much spoiler free is to talk, or in our case, write to each other and focus on positive aspects of the show to keep from going totally insane.

Hence why I no longer post there. It's way too segregated and biased (not that I'm not, it's just that there aren't a lot of intellectual babbles and or debates there)... everyone simply recycles what other boards or sites already have up.

I can completely imagine them trying to pick up any kind of conversation just to keep from feeling totally awkward. LOL! I need to see them argue about anything but them.

Where is everybody? 19 posts...er, 18, I think until the next thread. Nadia, is risking life and limb (well, not really, but close enough) to come here...I'm just not well enough to go to class, so here I am. We can't be the only two people here now, can we?

Anybody want to talk about...anything? Let's revive the off-topic thread, which I think is on page two, right now...
Until then I'll do my OT thang here and say that I got my summer job as a crew leader for a forest restoration project! Yay!

Back on topic: How do y'all think our couple will spend this summer?
I'm thinking Ephram and co. will end up working at the country club (or was that the community pool?) again. Of course, Ephram will still be hard at work on his piano, probably still working with Will.
Since Madison's band has a manager now, they might end up having out-of-town gigs and by mid-summer, might end up getting a deal out in California. Madison then will have to decide whether or not she wants to skip her senior year at ECC...(School's more important, hon)
Does anyone know if Sarah is supposed to be back next season?

Thanks Candace for hanging out with me here on a lonely Friday night. This used to be the night I'd spend watching "Firefly," but gorram Fox just had to be an idiot and cancel it.

According to Variety, Sarah Lancaster ("Everwood") has joined the cast of the CBS drama pilot. Lancaster will appear opposite Rob Lowe and Joe Pantoliano in Dr. Vegas as Veronica. Drama, from John Herzfeld, Lawrence Bender, Mark Sennet and Kevin Brown, revolves around a Las Vegas casino inhouse doctor. Warner Bros. TV, CBS Prods. and Bender-Brown are behind the project. I don't know about her status on Everwood, but I assume she may guest-star next season. Too bad, I firmly believe, that the rise of Everwood's ratings is partly due to Ms. Lancaster and Mr. Smith's coupling appeal.

Aww no, thank you for hanging out with me. These Fridays do get lonely (the roommmate goes home every weekend). Thanks for the info on Sarah...well, I hope that she at least guest-stars next season, because otherwise I might not have any reason to watch...
Of course, I'll never neglect Bright who's the only one worth watching if there's no Jailbait, IMO. Nadia, ITA that these two are the reason for the great ratings this season. Just hope the writers realize that.

I'm selfish. I really am. I want Sarah's Pilot to do well but I really don't. I want her to stay in Everwood and with Ephram and make ME happy. Because the world revolves around me, you know. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] JK

If she leaves I really don't have much reason to watch this show anymore save for my boy, Bright, as well. Hopefully, she'll guest.

Judy, we must be on the same wavelength because we ship the same tragically romantic couples (Ephram/Madison, Ryan/Theresa)... I feel the same way about Sarah's pilot. I'm excited that her career is starting to really take off, but I will miss her if she leaves Everwood. I think it would be quite lovely if she came back sporadically...you know, throw a kink into the Ephram/Amy thing.

Hopefully, Berlanti doesn't write it to turn out the way it did on DC. Even though Pacey/Tamara isn't really comparable to our couple...wait, they kinda are. Remember when she came back in Season 2? Dude! They'd probably have the audacity to put Madison with Bright! (Which they probably should have done to start with, just to spare us this heartache) Anyway, I know that if Sarah's here next season, things are going to be very interesting [img]smilies/wink.gif[/img]

My roomie and I were lamenting about not having any new shows to watch during finals week. [img]smilies/lol.gif[/img] Summer is just too long for another hiatus...Well, at least I'll have my baseball. Let's Go Mets!!! [img]smilies/biggrin.gif[/img]

I guess we're just attracted to couples that are doomed from the start. Or maybe we're not big fans of supposed 'canon' (Ephram/Amy, Ryan/Marissa, etc.) It'd be entertaining to see Madison come back when E/A are dating. I'd like to see their reactions.

Pacey/Tamera? Squick. They do have some similarities but let's hope that things don't go that way. And yes, summer hiatus is WAY too long! I'll have nothing to do. *lol*

The WB seems to have altered the promo for Monday's ep...more Jailbait stuff. Madison looks so sad trying to get back into her babysitter role. They also showed her with actual tears streaming down her face, presumably when Ephram leaves her house...I know I always say this, but I might seriously cry watching this one. Seriously.
