Parenthood is also just about 4 grown up siblings who have their own different families. That's it, the rest are storylines that you can relate to, that are realistic, dramatic or funny, and the acting is great. It's not about having cool characters do cool stuff or having twists or spetacular storylines.

As I said, for NBC it's really good. For other networks it wouldn't be. But what if Parenthood was on ABC? You never know. I'm glad it is where it is, like Community, it could only survive because those two shows don't need to be watched by millions of people but just a solid fanbase.

Besides Emily, I don't search the web what "my" actors on my shows are up to in their private lifes. Sure, I go to wikipedia and read a bit how many times they got divorced and how many children they have from different partners, but besides that I don't care, I don't like gossip, so I stay away. What you write is interesting. Especially younger fans tend to mistake fiction with reality. Yes, there is a on screen couple but off screen they are just two people not being in love. It's not good if you can't seperate what you are watching on your tv from the reality that tv stations pay a lot of money to develop shows and cast people to act certain roles.

I myself are watching some new seasons. Eli Stone's 2nd season is almost through, it was not as good as season 1 was due to some necessary changes the show had to make to keep things interesting. But it's still enjoyable most of the time.

Started Boston Legal and watched 7 episodes so far. I'm not sure if I like the show, with Alan Shore and Denny Crane and also the lovely and beautiful Monica Potter as Lori Carson, there are good characters. I hope it stays solid.

Also am watching the 3rd season of 30 Rock, but I'm not so much into the show. It can be funny but like the season premiere it can also be pretty blah, meaning okay but not really funny. Since I bought 3 seasons for a good price I now watch it.

And also started Cuckoo. It's a UK comedy with Andy Samberg from The Lonely Island. He is playing a freespirited meditating alternative guy (sorry, can't describe it better in English) which is a big contrast to everything his wife's British family stands for. It has potential, is quite funny and has a nice feel to it.

That's true, but I heard it enough times that it was enough to make me wary. But, that doesn't affect the way I feel about Sarah.

This. It's like who cares. So long as they are doing their jobs. My issue had more to do with rumors that had nothing to do with any of the main actors on the show. But, like ForVanAngel said, who knows what is real and is not real. That's why I think its good not to really know anything about actors.

I think for a lot of young people it gets muddied cause so many cast members date. So, when they break up they think it will affect the story and if they are professional they should be able to still do their jobs. That's why I think its good not to know about the personal lives of actors.

TFTNT, Michelle. #50 - we should celebrate that.

Just watched the Once Upon A Time pilot because I got my hands on it and I can say that I didn't expect to like it and I didn't. Now I know that. I didn't think the fairytale topic would interest me at all because I don't like that stuff, monsters, and wizards and so on, that's something I don't enjoy. But as a huge series watcher, I wanna check out everything that could be interesting or people say is good.

Not sure which news drama shows I'm starting, looked on my list, I'll decide tomorrow.

Thanks for the new thread Michelle!

Interesting discussion about real couples that are on screen couple too. I generally don't care. I mean sure if two actors want to be together well it's their choice. I care as much as if they decide to break up this doesn't spoil the way they act in the movie/series. I didn't care that Emily/Brad were an item when they were filming Everwood as long as they played in Everwood as brother/sister and no couple (that would have been some soap opera move).

Shu if your husband is sports reporter you must be exposed to sports a lot. Do you watch with him and do you root for some teams?

You mean Chris Pratt, not Brad. And I think you're hinting on Dexter, true, if a break up could endanger a show, it's not funny.

Yeah Chris Pratt. It was too early for me, so I guess messed up names completely . You still got my point though .

As far as I know something like that happen for Brothers and Sisters too. I know that Emily had relationship with an actor that played her supposedly brother on the show. Since they had good chemistry, the writers changed things and made him not her brother so that they could be together. And that's one hell of soap opera move. So yeah that's what I'm talking about.

I mean we know that Lauren and Peter are together, but they still play brother and sister in Parenthood and I do see them as relatives, not a romantic couple.

The Vampire Diaries

Ugh. I haven't watched the new episode yet because I'm afraid of the Delena of it all and how I'm gonna vomit all over my floor when they well and truly get together, and I'm thinking that this may be the episode that happens in.

On an related note, I was on Tumblr, trolling the Pacey/Joey tag to make myself feel better, and instead it made me more angry/sad because so many people keep calling Delena the Pacey/Joey of TVD. WTF? WTH? God! It's not even that I'm a big Stelena fan either, it's just that I loved P/J, and I hate the idea of Delena with the fire of a thousand suns. Dammit.

I watch football and basketball with him but a lot of the time he travels to see the games. Yeah the Canadians have always been called the Habs in Quebec. Alan I feel you. When they compared db to pj I wanted to throw things at my computer. I used to like Damon, now Idc. I ship Stefan-Katherine and Tyler-Caroline. Idc about the triangle of doom other than wanting Stefan out if that mess. I refuse to watch full episodes till klaus is gone. He is a show ruiner.
