She hates being hot as do I . We both felt like diving into the river even though its polluted. The sad part was we ended up spending alot of our vacation time in our hotel room hiding from the heat . Its ten times worse being stuck outside in the heat then the cold. You can't do a thing in the heat, you can always wear more clothes for the cold or play sports or walk around to get warm.
Exactly. You can't do a damn thing in the heat. No doubt about it. That sucks that you guys had to hide from the heat. I can imagine how miserable your mom was. She probably wanted to head right back up to your country once she got off the subway.

Ah how I envy you . Its so funny it was again 60 degrees today and tomorrow its going down to 40 degrees and its considered cold and considerably colder according to the weather . So weird. Its not even freezing and its considered cold.
Thanks. It was so much fun. There were snowmobilers all over the place as well. Such a great time. Ugh, I can't believe it was 60 degrees there! And then 40 degrees which is considered cold. That is a warm day to me.

The "me, me, me" attitude is exactly why my dad has little patience for sports these days. He keeps telling me how it should be like when he grew up and the athletes had salary caps and the players played just because they loved the sport and team work and not for publicity and millions of dollars. Its a shame some players ruin it.
You're dad is one smart man. So true. Sports has changed so drastically in the present day. The selfish attitudes and going after all the green. Where is love for the game? It exists in a small percentage of athletes but the vast majority are caught up in the materialistic side of things which is so unfortunate.

That is very strange how Boston is more like DC in weather over Montreal. No clue why that is the case. Interesting.

Thats why I've gotten into college hockey. Seems alot less selfish and self-absorbed which is in part due its unpopularity, which I like . I actually just got back from my 1st ever women's college hockey game between Boston Univ. and Boston College. The reason I enjoyed it is because I could compare myself to what I saw on the ice, it's sometimes hard to do that watching NHL or men compete and no women, plus it was $2 . I had a great time, too bad we lost . But BC is the best so I saw it coming.
Yesss, college hockey is so much fun to watch and just be a fan of. It is certainly a rugged sport that the athletes play for the love of the game. The college hockey fans are diehard to the max. The Minnesota Gopher fans are so dedicated, it's almost hard to describe. They absolutely love their Gophers. That's so great how you went to the women's game today. Too bad your team lost but yeah, the women's game is so much more easier to relate to. Absolutely.

My dad is the type to never pay $100 to see a game just for some player's salary or a greedy owner. He's always like we can get such a better view from home. Honestly why I love going to the arena to watch is just for the atmosphere and the fan pride, but $100 isn't worth that. Which is why you'll find me in the $10 nosebleed section .
Haha, yeah. You're dad's right though, the best seat sometimes is at home. But I hear you about going to the arena for the atmosphere and fan pride. There's nothing like it. And yes, I am just as satisfied in the nosebleed section as I am with a closer view. It's immaterial if you love the game.

Also, I am one happy camper that my STEELERS won today!
Super Bowl, baby! Here we come!

Yeah, I'm a little excited about this.

Yeah its weird. It might have to do with the heatwave the past month as well. Its been warmer everywhere on the east coast. People have told me Boston is warmer than other parts of Mass. and NE because its on the water so I'll take their word for it.

Oh they are diehards. They put NHL fans to shame. Sometimes it can be good and sometimes bad. I hate when fans start cursing at the other team . Things need to remain friendly and civil in my opinion, especially with kids around. I actually liked that the fans today for women's hockey had a lot of passion even though there are fewer of them . I wasn't expecting much passion.

BU is the same way. They have songs, chants, rituals, season ticket holders, etc. I never expected to see insane hockey fans around here, its great . I actually ended up liking the women's game more than I thought I would. I like that all the fanaticism and commotion seen in the men's game was lowered and I could actually concentrate on the game alone. Not that I don't enjoy the fans and excitement but it's nice to just focus on the game itself once in a while.

Yeah I love the atmosphere as well. In fact I wanted to see the Bruins and Canadiens in February so I could taunt some fans, but the $10 seats are sold out, and I refuse to pay $40 or $50 to see the Bruins . So I figure I'll go to a bar instead and taunt .

Yeah, that sounds right. The water is the component that preserves the heat.

So awesome that the women's game had passionate fans. And yeah, ITA about the diehards being passionate but respectful. The swearing and other inappropriate behavior drives me nuts. There needs to be boundaries and I hate how some idiot always seems to try and spoil the good, clean fun that most people desire. I was recently at a Minnesota Timberwolves game with my one cousin and this moron in front of us was drunk, loud and just plain stupid. He wouldn't shut up the entire game. He was yelling out stupid stuff all the time. It was so annoying, I was so tempted to tell him to shut up but then I realized he was about ten times my size so he could probably take me out in a heartbeat, even if I have some muscle on me and would like to consider myself as tough. So I just stayed quiet but remained irritated at the same time. The good thing was I think the alcohol ended up putting him in a sort of hypnotic state in the fourth quarter because he was rather mellow at the end of the game which was nice.

Oh no doubt. Some people seem to show up for games to not really watch the game. I have no clue how that works but it's annoying. Whenever I'm watching a sporting event, I like fan passion and cheers, but I also want it relatively quiet during the key moments of the game. Not outside distraction like that stupid, drunk guy I was talking about or groups of idiotic people swearing and creating chaos just to be noticed.

Sounds like a plan.

Awwwww, thanks. I was so hyped up during the game. It was nice that Pittbsburgh lead the entire game with only a few instances where I thought Denver could get back into it. I was still nervous as heck until the final second ticked off and the game was completely over.

Looks like Pitt will be playing Seattle. Seattle is kicking Carolina's butt with 10 minutes left in the game. I like the Pittsburgh/Seattle match up because while I adore the Steelers, Seattle would be my second choice so if the Steelers don't win, it will be nice seeing Seattle win it as well.
