I think you have to look at them as extra "fun" episodes, and not part of the real timeline. But one thing happens in them that changes/is better than the original ending, so its hard to ignore them completely... like it changes what happens in the real timeline which is stupid. lol. Actually I remembered a third annoying thing you will hate lmao. So 3 things. __________________

Alright, I watched the finale:
317: This was a decent episode it did feel like a finale. Well, until the ending, I thought it was a bit weird with N/F getting ice cream? IDK, it felt like it just sort of ended? Molly = useless. I hope she is gone next season. I really dont remember. Don't care about the counseling stuff but I guess it's coming full circle. Where are Felicity's tapes to Sally and why did they stop? It's kinda strange they haven't even mentioned that! Ruby coming back is cool. She looked so pretty and her baby was really cute. Kissing Noel was so weird though when they haven't talked in a while? I don't really blame him for not wanting to give things a chance though. Her having a baby is a huge responsibility. Plus again, they haven't seen each other in a hot minute. I wish this had just been a check up/friend visit. Ruby deserves a great guy. Ben applying to be a paramedic is really cool! I think that would be a great job for him. It sucks that his program started so soon in the summer, but I get him wanting to go. I think his last scene with Felicity should have been better though, it felt a bit blah to me considering they were saying goodbye for a while. Switzerland for an entire Summer sounds freaking amazing!!! I hope I am able to go next year. Come on Sean, he is being so insane about this money stuff. He should compromise... they could do Switzerland for Meghan for a month 1/2 and then do something else for the rest of the time for Sean. Tracey is back again. Sigh. I'm over this storyline. It's sweet that he hasn't slept with anyone else. But poor Deforest! She does have a deeper connection with Tracy, but him proposing is insane! Way too fast imo and feels like he just wants to do it so they can have sex while being married. I wanted her to say no but her reaction clearly shows she will say yes. The NF stuff was such a damper on the episode. Noel was acting like such a little baby the entire episode. He was pissing me off so much! I am glad he came around in the end, but its transparent what he wants from Felicity. Seeing Noel's mom was a bit strange too, we have never seen her and it felt a bit random to me. Ill respond to the other comments tomorrow. So glad we are taking a week off, I need a tiny break from this show lol. My paramount+ will renew on the 27th. I am finishing up a few shows and want to pay for it for one more month but I am seriously considering paying for Hulu again around October 13 so I can watch season 4. Big Brother will be ending and I would like to binge the remaining eps so I can get it done before the trial ends. So Michelle you can start 401 on Thursday the 3rd like planned. Or even the week before if you want? I wont start watching til the 13th but can play catch up. Then maybe we can move to 2 a week so I can try to get the show done? I will actually have to do 3 a week to finish it on time tho... I am willing to pay for a 2nd month for November, but that would be it so i do need to watch more than 2 eps some weeks to finish lol. Totally fine if you cant go that fast, I can just save my comments and post about them when you get there. Let me know what you want to do. __________________

I would prefer Felicity talk about any residual hurt and confusion she feels due to the Avery situation over obsessing about a friend who was never going to Seattle because we cannot get rid of Noel that easily. So true about the Sally tapes. It’s more annoying and insulting they just disappeared and then Noel does a version of it in this episode. You’re totally right about Ruby. It was kind of weird how she kissed him. She technically didn’t even know if he was single or not. Not that staying loyal matters to Noel. LOL. But it was strange she instantly kissed him. I just find it weird that Noel acted like he had zero romantic feelings for her anymore. Time has passed by and obviously he’s focused on Felicity. But they did share a relationship that basically only ended because she got pregnant and left for home. It wasn’t due to lack of feelings. Oh well, not meant to be. Ben being a paramedic actually does make sense. He has to be in a field that deals with people. It is where he shines, helping others. I find this part pretty amazing considering no one helped him for the longest time and he was abused by his alcoholic father. Yes, the Ben and Felicity goodbye could’ve been a lot better even if I love their hugs and kisses and just how they look at each other. It was sweet. But at the same time it was not very highlighted. But I blame the writers because I think they were too focused on Noel staying or going and Noel and Felicity.  Oh man, you might go to Switzerland? Sweet! It’s such a beautiful country. Yes, Sean was being stupid resisting Switzerland. Meghan’s parents are rich. They have two homes in Europe. Who cares about money. Plus, you should do what your girlfriend wants. LOL. I do like Tracy and Elena but feel like their storyline is so dramatic because the actor had Scrubs so clearly he wasn’t always going to be available. You can just tell that the proposing is another way to delay them because obviously they’re not getting married. I don’t think so anyway. I think it’s actually another obstacle. Yes, I felt so sorry for DeForrest! I do not love how the S3 finale basically circled around Noel and Felicity. It’s dumb. Yes, Noel was such a prick throughout the episode. And absolutely no interest in meeting Noel’s mom. ==== S4: No, I do not need to go ahead. I want to go at your pace. So what do you think about the schedule? And that’s so true… like Sean has tons of faults and yet he’s very quick to be able to make fun of others, even his supposed best friend in Ben, which sucks. Yes, that’s true. I do think Felicity doesn’t want to lose Noel as a friend, that’s the primary reason. Secondary might be residual Avery crap. She is playing with fire. It’s not right she will spending the entire summer in the loft with an ex she knows tried to kiss her. She is friends with him but he wants more. So it’s not even someone in her life that she’s friends with who has developed feelings for her. It’s an ex as well, which makes it worse. Granted, she did not know Noel was returning. The minute she found out though it should’ve put her on alert. Me too! I love the character of Ruby. A lot of it is because I love Amy Smart. I feel like a proposal is just another way to break them up before they even reunite. S3 had all of them living together and hardly any group moments. It was strange and it really is like they forgot about Felicity and Meghan and their friendship. Triangle is so stupid. In sync with rankings.  |

as a shipper i would rather see my ship be really good friends and get lots of nice platonic scenes then see it being pushed as a one sided romance, knowing full well they were not going to end up together. Like, that would just bug me.
Like if dan/blair had just been platonic besties i would have been fine with that. They pushed the romance and got my hopes up and it was annoying! Just think of it like this: Ruby deserves way better than Noel. Its actually annoying that Felicity is spending the summer with Noel, knowing full well how Ben feels about it. Why don't we plan for 401+ 402 the week of the 7th? that gives us a week and a half break. and i can watch those eps later in that week. Then, 403+404 the week of the 14th? You have a full week to watch 2 episodes, or can watch them both at the same time, whatever. and then we can see how that schedule goes. __________________

Same. Absolutely. I would definitely ship Felicity and Noel platonically IF that’s what they only were. Sadly, Felicity thought that’s what they were in S3 until Noel was not telling her the truth then kisses her knowing she is in love with someone else.
 They should have just been friends, like brother and sister. He was an RA… should have remained friends. The GG writers screwed up Dan and Blair. Just dumb. I love how you phrased it: Ruby deserves way better than Noel. < That is so true! Honestly, I was pissed until hearing your thoughts. I feel better about it now. Agreed. I don’t like this at all… poor Ben doesn’t even know Noel tried to kiss Felicity. The minute Felicity found out Noel was back she should have called Ben or told Noel it is awkward and rules needed to be in place. I think Sean mentioned Felicity was staying at the loft for free. So I think Felicity was kind of doing Sean a favor maybe? Not even sure if their apartment is available. Elena might be there when she’s done passing out. LOL. But who knows… instead of Felicity thinking ice cream she should have immediately figured out how to deal with being alone with Noel the entire summer, understanding Noel having feelings means he shouldn’t be alone with her either. Good schedule! So: 1. 401 & 402 the week of the 7th. 2. 403 & 404 the week of the 14th. Then we can see how that schedule evolves. |

Well looking at my schedule I was thinking i might not start my Hulu sub til later because I have to finish another show on paramount and that sub doesnt end til the 27th. And there are quite a few shows on Hulu i want to watch so I think if i get the sub I want to be able to really dedicate the time to watching those shows. and I just have too many going right now.
So if you want to watch and post you can Michelle, maybe try to stick to 1 a week and then I can catch up later cuz Ill prob. be binging 2-3 eps at a time. __________________

I just watched 315-317 and I have a lot of thoughts. I'm going to just put it one big long post or maybe short cause I'm not that long winded anymore.
-Bye Felicia (Avery) I am not going to miss you. I think Ben is just too nice, but I truly believe that his confusion really had nothing to do with feelings for Avery and more what that night meant to him and his future and they definitely follow that up in the finale. -I absolutely loathe this no boundary understanding heffer. She is everything I hate in a woman. Like have some common decency and back the heck off. Ben is also culpable as he enjoyed the attention and I hate that they did this to his character because it was very purposeful. They needed to bond F/N more and make it seem like his actions and attitude toward Ben were somewhat justified. I don't care what BS they were peddling I wasn't buying it. -In my book the Avery situation is not nearly as comparable to the Felicity/Noel one because I think the latter is worse. She dated him. He was her first boyfriend. I don't doubt that she loves Ben, but the show is trying to cast doubt on the veracity of that love and that maybe a part of her still thinks she is meant to be with Noel. But, truly he is nothing but her back up plan. I don't think she veers towards him due to be hurt, I think her bond with him was always there. It was ever present. It mostly just took on the face of friendship. These two have a question that needs to be answered and 401 answered it. I hate when shows pose unnecessary questions but that is a whole other matter. Why do I think its worse than Avery? Avery was new addition to the equation and it wasn't that deep. But rather she was a tool to resurrect the triangle from felicity's pov but it was already resurrected cause Noel was feeling her from the petshop stuff onwards. I hate it but they used what should have been a blip of a situation to justify Noel being a jerk. Why? Cause they really have nothing else for Noel to do I suppose and it was the era of the never-ending triangles. - Now, I find this arc especially hard to watch and I don't understand how anyone can still root for Noel. He is the epitomy of the Nice Guy Syndrome. His friendship with Felicity is conditional. He can't see beyond his own desire to be with her and respect her relationship. Ben other than the Avery stuff has been quite tolerant of this weasel who has been trying to steal his girlfriend for awhile now. He knows it, we know it and now Felicity knows it. But, she is clinging to this friendship because she will lose her back up plan and ammo against ole boy Ben (when and if he ****s up). This is why I am glad 401 plays out the way it does. Cause its exhausting watching Felicity justify her questionable decisions because oh well ben messed up and he hurt her. I'll address the role reversal as we watch. I know a lot of people hate s4 for this but for me its a salve to what 3b did to F/B. This **** needed evening up and despite how much they hurt each other Felicity and Ben will ALWAYS choose each other. That is never going to change and why they are by far one of my favorite YA ships. 3B Noel can kick rocks. I seriously want to punch him in the face repeatedly. He is so far up on his high horse that he doesn't even see how much of a jerk he is being. Oh you don't want me so I'm gonna end this friendship. If you can't be friends cause she doesn't want to **** you, then you never were really friends. |
