Fan Forum's "Everwood: Season 5" #2
EVERWOOD Season Five We're writing a new season! :yay: Help us! Hullo! Welcome to the new Season Five thread. A while ago, long after Everwood's early death after season four, a handful of us decided that rewatching the show over and over again was not enough anymore, that the wonderful finale that we got was getting more and more unsatifactory. We wanted MORE. Of course, we aren't flying that high above the grounds of reality yet, that we would suffer from the delusion that we might actually get more. The truth is rude and we've been weeping about it for long enough. If nobody's baking a cake for us, we'll bake it ourselves. At least we'll try. This is a call for every singe Everwood-fan that still is left out there to come and join us, to pour all of our love for this show into making ourselves this present of reading something new about the goings-on in our little mountain town, even if it is just half real. It's better than nothing. Everybody is welcome, the only requirement is that you love Everwood. If you don't feel ready to write the actual scenes, join us planning and organizing the episodes and single storylines, or just tell us what you would have liked to see in season five. Just, please, come! Say you'll help us, tell us how and we'll put you on the list, so that we know that you're in and we can call you when you're needed. Or just stay right away. The Season 5 Crew Abomasum Thief Of Love everwoodfan52 'Tos Steve397 We've come up with tons of ideas in the Previous Thread if you want to check those out. Thief has also done some wonderful and helpful outlines for
Thank you. |
Previously, on the Fan Form "Everwood: Season 5" thread: Leo is coming up with website layout to put our Season 5 on; as Steve mentioned, we need to summarize all our plots and subplots, which with Easter break, would be a good time to start now; Thief helped with that aspect, doing an outline for Bright!
Yeah, there is going to be a ton of looking at the previous thread to see what we came up with, hee. One of the big disadvantages of the 300 post rule, but we'll manage. :) |
Hehe, I love the "Previously on..." thing. :D

Yay, go Leo. I wasn't sure if you knew that Thief had done three summaries, so I wanted to put 'em in the top of the thread so you knew you didn't have to do those. And we can definitely help more too on them. Steve looks like he's going to go into an intense summary session too, hee, so yeah, if you need any help, ask away. :)
Loved your summary, Thief. We have actually come up with some pretty good ideas, haven't we? They actually make sense when they come together like that, and are pretty darned entertaining too. *proud of us* I'd totally watch what we have so far, hee. *also has "Nowhere Man" stuck in my head now* |
I had seen the Ephram&Piano and Bright&Hannah ones... didn't realize there was more... great work, Thief!
Anyway... I'll just do my thing, it's probably going to look different, I'm trying to make sort of... a little memory help, something to look everything we want to know and all the ideas we had up in 2 minutes... what a project! I'm not sure I'm going to be able to do it, but I'm trying. :look: |
I am being a spectator here. I have no idea how to do what you guys are doing.
Just steer me in the right direction....tell me whose plot line you need me to summarize and I'll try. Of course, if you don't need me.....that's fine as well. :D You guys are doing a great job. I give you all a gold :star:. ETA: Super outline for Bright, Thief! :star: :star: |
Whew, Leo, you've got some work cut out for you, hee. But, yeah, you won't have to worry about a couple of the characters, at least. The hardest part is figuring out where the story changed along the way (in the cases where it has) and keeping it all consistent in a summary! At least Ephram's piano story hasn't changed, it's just developed more, so I'm just going to go back to that blog entry and throw in the slight details we have so far on the student story.
Hey, did we ever actually come up with any sort of official Ephram/Amy timeline, or did that prove to be as challenging as finding a conclusion for Bright/Hannah? :look: Quote:
ETA: Okay, just updated the "Ephram + Piano" post. ETA again: Oh, and Steve and Leo, if you don't have a specific permanent place to post your summaries, I can post them on the Season 5 blog -- keep everything in one place that way. |

He would go on about how Hannah was the greatest thing that ever happened to him....and he wished that he realized that at the time and cherished their relationship more. Hannah would listen proudly to Bright....very proud of his growth. Bright would tell Hannah that he so very much wants to help other young people with Psychological difficulties so that they don't mess up their lives the way that he did. |

Oh, Leo! I just noticed the addition to your signature. :)
|
I really have nothing to add because being sick isn't all that conducive to thinking about storylines or summaries, but I love the additions to your signatures, Leo and Betty. Adorables!
I do like the idea of Bright and Hannah going for coffee together and that leading to how Hannah finds out about his decision, Betty very realistic, but I'm not sure I'd like to see Bright analyzing himself to that extent to Hannah. I think he could see himself in some of these theories, definitely, and the negative attention one is really good, but it also feels like he's using the course to pass the buck on some of his bad habits from the theories, when he's going to be working on his bad habits himself throughout the season. I don't know if that comment made any sense. Seriously, this sickness is muddling my thoughts. |
No, it made sense to me. But I've been battling bad allergies for the past week, so my thoughts might be as muddled as yours. :P While I do think Bright will recognize some things in this material, I just don't quite see him talking about it to that extent; it would be more like little revelations he has periodically. Mostly, yeah, the main thing would be his actions and how they reflect his growth over the season, rather than having him actually tell Hannah (and thus the audience) things. All that said, I'm still completely at sea as to where they'll wind up by the finale. Gosh, that's annoying. I feel like I'm letting my favorite 'ship down.

It seems like my ideas have been kibashed again. I think I'm going on Sabbatical. :look:

But as far as a sabbatical on ideas, I think Leo does want us to take a break while she and others come up with summaries, so that we don't add stuff and change what they're going to be doing. |
Is this a dumb idea?** I've been thinking about Bright's lowest point, between quitting the EMT work and getting into psychology, and how this is traditionally the kind of time when he just goes completely pathetic (see: the first 3/4 of S3, the post-cheating arc in S4). What if he gets a quick glimpse at what that behavior has looked like to others -- he sees it in someone else, like...I don't know who, actually, but someone, and realizes once and for all how much he really does want to just keep his head up and find a real path? Is that pointless? It's okay if it is, I think I just can't get the image of Chris Pratt's abject loserdom on Parks & Recreation out of my head, hee.
**I know we've put the kibosh on ideas for now, but since I did Bright's synopsis, this basically just means more work for me rather than Leo or Steve, heh. |
