Thanks for the new thread Betty. I have such a fear of a possible Trump/DiSantis ticket. They're both evil and dangerous.

What a sad and heartbreaking time that we live in. When I was young, I never had to worry about going to school and getting shot while I sat in my classroom, or getting shot when I went to see a movie, or getting shot when I went to a parade. I’m not going to make this a long post so I’ll simply say that I’m not happy with the recent rulings by the United States Supreme Court and leave it at that. I love my country and I served my country and I want all this madness to end. May God Bless and help our country.

 I remember growing up in the 1980s (I wasn’t even a teenager but a child old enough to remember) and we biked everywhere, roamed the neighborhood, went to our school across the street and played pick up sports games/hung out at the playground on a Saturday night after dark. We went to an arcade and shopping mall and never had to worry about anything bad happening. We never locked our doors. We never had to worry about anything like kids have to in the present. It is so sad. My nieces are early 20s and I’m scared for what they might have to face in the future should either decide to have their own children. It is really depressing. |
