We enjoy the atmosphere and peaceful environment. We know that sometimes in the heat of the moment there's temptation to cross the line so we would kindly ask you to follow the rules below: 1. Discuss opinions and ideas. Do not bash people. 2. Respect the opinions of fellow posters. 3. Attack ideas. Do not attack people. 4. Accept that someone having a different opinion does not mean that they hate or dislike you. They just disagree with you. 5. If you feel that someone shows any disrespect towards you, please do not engage in arguments. Contact us and we will handle it. 6. Most important of all... we need to be open-minded and show respect for our fellow posters. We thank you for reading and hope that you will have fun posting here! - Michelle & Betty |
Thanks for the new thread Michelle. All the recent tragedies made us go through the last thread in one day. :(

You're welcome, Jerry.
That is right. I love when we go through threads, but not for this very heartbreaking reason. |
We all know that politicians will say or do anything to get elected, stay in office, and get reelected, and that most of them are liars and hypocrites, but the hypocrisy shown by certain politicians when something like a mass shooting happens appalls me. Yesterday, in his press conference about the Uvalde shooting, Texas Governor Gregg Abbott said: "What I do know, in talking to the leaders here, as well as leaders around the state, one thing that has substantially changed is the status of mental health in our communities," he said. "We, as a state, we, as a society, need to do a better job with mental health." Despite his totally phony calls for greater mental health support, Abbott just last month cut $211 million from the Texas state department that oversees mental health programs, NBC News reported. Texas also ranked dead last for overall access to mental health care in State of Mental Health in America's 2021 report. So much for doing a better job with mental health.
Article: https://www.insider.com/texas-gov-gr...-health-2022-5 I will never understand how people like this keep getting elected and reelected. |
Thanks, Michelle!!

Someone said they were always banned at those, but i just find that really stupid and ironic considering they're so pro guns, so why ban them??? Make it make sense.

I would be calling the school district demanding questions on what they are doing to make schools safer. Again LOCK THE EFFING DOORS. So many schools you can just walk right into and I read that the shooting was no exception. He walked right into the back unlocked door. UNACCEPTABLE! But honestly i wouldn't have my kid go to school. No way. I would be pulling them from school and homeschooling during the hours that I could. There is no way i would allow them to go there anymore. Not surprised to hear about the police, not surprised at all. F blue lives! |
