Added in the Dempsey bit... for those that don't know.. Dempsey is a Texan and of course there's the SA Spurs in Texas along with the Texas connection to the spur in general ... now he's playing for the Tottenham Hotspurs so that's where my title came from. LOL
Guys, since there's a ton of posts on the second to the last page of the last thread I could bring over, here is the page link instead since it's easier: http://www.fanforum.com/f104/sports-...6/index20.html Alan, we tried getting your attention on the last sports thread... go check the birthday thread, friend! Start on post 205 and work your way down. http://www.fanforum.com/f104/birthda...9/index14.html Last edited by jediwands; 09-02-2012 at 06:53 PM |

ETA: Koni, what do you think of this? Do you have any idea what's he's talking about? http://www.goal.com/en-us/news/88/sp...-ronaldo-makes Last edited by everwoodfan52; 09-02-2012 at 09:16 PM |

Isner lost a tough five setter. I stayed up and watched and now it's going on 4 AM and here I am wide awake. I have to say this is the first time in a while I regret staying up late to watch sports since the end result sucked and I am bombarded with insomnia, too. LOL
Hershey, my sister's lovely dog is okay. Zero broken bones, internal injuries. He also didn't have to stay overnight. Turns out it was my sister's best friends son who let him roam and that is how and why it happened. He is only 7 and my sister and brother-in-law don't even want to hear about that at all since everything turned out just fine though my sister's best friend is not happy with her son. Although, it was her son who actually shouted out "Hershey" when it happened so Hershey moving for that second probably saved his life. So, the little boy probably saved him too. The reason why it was confusing as to what his injuries were is because the little boy is the only one who witnessed it. Hershey was limping on his little leg/paw and he seemed uncomfortable. Of course we weren't going to take any chances so that's why the hospital was a no brainer. He apparently was bumped and bruised but zero broken bones or anything bad. Anyway, good ending for sure. My nieces are very upset over the ordeal. This was ideally not how my sister envisioned their labor day weekend was going to go. Especially since the ER/hospital bill was... 600 bucks! |

Michelle that's so good that dog is totally fine. Otherwise your nieces would have been devastated.
Ah that kid is too young to be held responsible. Actually in his mother's place I would worry if the kid is stressed or something. I was 9 years old when I witnessed how classmate of mine was hit by car and fortunately there was nothing serious (broken leg, but everything else was fine) and I still was a bit shocked. Especially when I had to give statements in the court. Anyway my point is that they should ensure that the kid is fine and is not stressed by what he witnessed. Betty I have no idea what Ronaldo is talking. Then again (although Real Madrid fan) I've never been his fan. Sorry that guy has too much of an ego for me and the bad thing is that they allow him to see himself as total star instead of total jerk. I'm actually glad that Iniesta got the award, because I wanted him to win and I thought that he deserved it. He plays awesome with Barcelona and Spain and he is one of hell mid fielder. As for the rest well we will see what will happen. __________________

I was just checking out all of the FF rosters now and it looks like everyone has a competitive team. It will be fun.
Thankfully your sister's dog is okay, Michelle! __________________

Koni, you're right about it not being the little boys fault. Apparently, repeatedly, his mom told him to make sure the dogs would not follow him out when he opened the door so that's why she was so upset. But either way, he is just a little boy and, really, he should be commended because he's the one to literally grab Hershey's attention which made him pause and aware which saved his life. |

Maria had a pretty tough match against Nadia Petrova, but thankfully won it in three sets. She did a good job of coming through in her first test of the tournament. Also Vika easily won her match in straight sets. Good win for Vika. I`m pleased to see her delivering another pretty good performance. Another one of my favorite ladies on the tour, Ana Ivanovic is currently in action and is leading Tsvetana Pironkova 3-0. Also i`m glad to hear that you`re sister`s dog is alright. I know that she was pretty scared for a while. Lastly Cristiano Ronaldo = the biggest pussy ever! He`s one of those guys that you want to punch in the face every time you look at him. I would love to see him get tackled more than a few times this season so that we can see crying like the little girl that he is. __________________
