For as strange as this sounds, I feel better knowing that things couldn’t have been worked out for Chad/Hilarie to stay. We know precisely why Hilarie left. We know it was an impossible situation that could never be worked out. In the past I was frustrated feeling like maybe egos were involved and there could have been a way to give us more Lucas/Peyton. There was absolutely no way and I find it refreshing in a sense.

Right? It's not like we're saying we are glad this horrible, impossible situation transpired. It's just... there's clarity knowing Lucas/Peyton did end at the right time. Some make the case that the finale of 4 would have made a great series finale. But overall, Lucas/Peyton had to be concluded for sure in the finale of 6... well, minus that one episode in season 9 with Chad/Lucas giving us confirmation that yes, Lucas/Peyton/family made it and were doing beautifully long term. But everything happened the way it was meant to happen given the circumstances.

That only Hilarie left due to Mark. Chad, to a lesser extent, obviously for different reasons. I wonder why the others didn't want to leave when she did.

Does this mean it was the worst for Hilarie? I mean, it seems so, but he definitely tortured others too.

It seems that it was the worst for Hilarie and Danneel. However Danneel got away way faster so in that sense it seems that it was the worst for Hilarie.

I think it was Hilarie and Danneel for the first 6 seasons, but I'm not sure who got the worst of it in the last 3 seasons.

It does seem that Shantel took Hilarie's place

. You could see it in the way he wrote Quin to fully replace Peyton. At least I have read that most of you feel this way.
