I know I’m probably biased because I loved Lucas and Peyton from day one. However, not for even a second did I think Peyton and Jake were anything but short-term. Matter of fact, I feel like the only reason why they got together was because Brooke ridiculously didn’t care and went for Lucas which was going to delay Lucas and Peyton so the writers put Peyton with Jake. I never viewed them as a serious option. I am stunned they’re wasting so much time talking about a relationship that never had long-term potential/substance. I will believe that if this series was cut short and Jake and Peyton were together at the time they might have considered giving them an ending but it would have been a terrible joke that made zero sense.

And Jake really wasnt in that many episodes in the long scheme of the show. So that relationship really wasnt as significant as they are building it up to be.

I thought she had a great season. Her standing up for Anna in the school with the dyke shirt. The whole SL with anna in general. Her dealing with lonliness and the drugs. Her reaction to her moms dress being ruined. Her scenes with Lucas and how they have drifted. Her feeling neglected by Brooke because of Felix, helping Haley with her music up to 213 and interactions with Chris.

In the second half, sure she didnt do a lot but pine and cry for Jake btu the early stuff was good imo.


Its her real hair. Hilarie has said shes embracing her grey hair. I just think that it really ages her. The blonde is so pretty on her too.


I liked Brooke a lot in season 2, but season 1 she had some bitchy moments (for the most part she wasnt taht bad and i viewed her as the comic releif but she did have some bad moments too like in 107). season 3 and season four though ugh she was awful! Especially season 4. Unbearable how awful she was actually.

It also shows how their relationship got written as well, since it had next to no depth and their connection was pretty much Jenny.

Especially since at the end of the day their relationship was just a stepping stone to Lucas/Peyton.

Personally, I can't really consider Season 2 a great overall season for Peyton with how things played out in the second half with her and Jake.

That is right! He never felt like a main character or even having the potential to be a main character, not really. The build up was definitely not significant.

Of course, it's fine. But if she wants to continue acting I am not sure she can just do parts where she has gray hair, she would have to change it up at some point you would think.

Yes. I don't understand how anyone can take Brooke truly seriously until S5. Like you said, she did have some good moments in S2 actually. That is true. But S1, some terrible moments and yes, it is like she got even worse in S3 and S4. I literally stopped watching regularly mostly due to the character of Brooke to be honest. I just got too pissed off over the character. I took a break until Lucas and Peyton finally got together.

100%. It revolves around a baby. I actually thought the point was to show how in many ways Peyton was still a little girl who desperately needed a family. Those around her in her mind failed and abandoned her like Brooke, Nathan, and even Lucas turning his back (in her mind). Her dad was always gone, she lost her mother. She really had no one. She had an empty house. So she leaned on Jake and a baby he had with a despicable girl. It felt very unhealthy to me. I don’t know how anyone can see this as a romantic situation, let alone, a healthy one.

Definitely, the end of the season 3 makes it clear to why she was dating Jake.

Yeah it was pretty clear she was kinda using Jake to not feel lonely. She never truly loved him in the same way she did Lucas, so the fact that the girls are acting like hes her endgame is baffling to me. But theyll get a wake up call when season 3/4 hits I hope lol.

I love Bryan and he is going to be on the next episode I think. But i'm not going to look forward to the jeyton praise.

Same here, lol. But to me, their love for Jake/Jeyton feels more influenced by how much they adore Greenburg than anything to do with the character and his relationship with Peyton.

He's going to be in the live event that the girls are doing today, won't be in the next episode of the podcast.

I cannot comprehend how they think Jake is Peyton’s proper endgame. LOL. What on earth are they going to do in S4, end of S5, and S6? Talk about how Leyton isn’t good together? Weird.
