Great advice, Hannah. As a matter of fact, I did just what you suggested! Read some HP and watched the Prison Break episode. OMG, I ADORE this show! I was really, really impressed with last night's episode. So much so, please hit me with the earlier episodes as to where I can catch up on them. Thanks for introducing me to this show.

Gaby, yes, I read the AD transcript late last night. My IM was all screwed up last night. Whenever you would send me an IM, my ability to respond to you was all messed up. It would freeze up on me and I couldn't send a response through. Weird deal. Anyway, I read the transcript.. I am still so pissed I missed the actual episode.

And yes, that's exactly how you got me hooked on AD. One transcript. I read it, loved it and wanted to see the show on the screen. The rest is history.

Yay, new thread.

Aw, that sucks your IM was all screwy last night. But very glad you read the transcript. I hope your IM is working better tonight. And amazing, I remembered how you got hooked.

I'm so glad you like Prison Break. It is rapidly becoming my favorite show. Check your PM's, I sent you the info for the earlier episodes.

That is so funny you got hooked on AD from the transcripts. It only took a few minutes into seeing an episode for me to love it. I'm so sad that last night's ratings were disappointing. Gaby, did you watch Kitchen Confidential? I saw the first part of it, but didn't think it was very good.

Nope. Just watched AD and turned it off. The preview seemed very weird so no. Even though I thought it might be a quirky thing like AD.

Did you hear the ratings were not that great for yesterday? Only half of the viewers from last season premiere. Sucks!

I love it so much! I really do. For me, there is no in between. Either I instantly love a show or I will never warm up to it. And, I know right away.. I got your PM and thank you so much for sending me the info. If I have questions, I'll let you know. Should work on the earlier episodes shortly.

I know. That is a rarity with me. Heh. I mean, I can get hooked on a show instantly while "seeing" it on the screen, but never have I read a transcript and got hooked like I did with AD. I remember reading the transcript and laughing my ass off. Then, I saw the episode on the screen and laughed even more.

Yeah, AD rocks and it's too bad that more people are not tuning it. What are they waiting for? You'd think after the emmy, more people would be interested. Lame. People will tune in for fluff but not great writing and acting? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Oh well, we are the lucky ones because we know the scoop.

I don't get why people won't tune in to AD, or VM either for that matter. The critics rave about both shows. I suppose some of it has to do with publicity...I don't see ads for those shows on TV or in magazines like I do for other things. I came in late for both shows and the only reason I watched them to begin with was I had heard such good things about them.

Michelle, you got me sick. I know that's not possible, but I'm going to blame you anyway.

I didn't catch AD this week, but my sister recorded it for me...that and Lost, which I also didn't see. I should be getting the tape this weekend, so I'll get to see it then.

I didn't watch Kitchen Confidential either. I saw bits and pieces of it, but it didn't grab me. Maybe I'll watch it next week.

This is exactly true for me as well. I came in late for both and I was beyond intrigued due to hearing great things about them. Matter of fact, on this very board, you'll find tons of VM and AD fans. On this board was where I gained huge interest to watch both shows.

Nooo, you're sick? I'm so sorry. What do you have going on? Do what I did, rest and go with an overdose of Harry Potter. That's a must. Take care!

Yep, I caught your sinus infection. Well, at least the one going around here as well. My head is all congested, sore throat, etc. Hopefully I'll get over it soon.

That sucks! Hannah, those are the same, exact symptoms I had. It took around 4-5 days to fully get better but it hits you pretty hard whenever it is quite active.

I hope you feel better soon and as I told you on the Harry Potter board, I hope your family is safe in Houston.

Oh, man, you got peeps in Houston too, Hannah? My online boyfriend Lus is there and his mom is being an idiot and won't evacuate. I'm worried sick.

Yes, I have a lot of family in the Houston area. A few of them evacuated, but several are still there. Thankfully it looks like the city will not be directly hit and hopefully things won't be too bad. I'm sure your bf will be fine.

I'm checking out the damage from the storm over on CNN and thankfully, it doesn't appear to be nearly as bad as Katrina was. Of course, I have always lived in Cleveland my entire life, so I know zero about hurricanes, but it looks like it could have been a lot worse. Some heavy flooding in Lumberton, Texas, I see. Port Arthur, Texas has some bad flooding. They are using the words, "cautiously optimistic."

Oh man, the midwest can get cold as hell in the winters, but I'll take it (hey, I ski as well!) over the hurricane stuff in the south. That would be so tough to deal with.

Talked to my family from the northwest part of Houston. They said they were totally prepared for a terrible storm and were all nervous beforehand...and then barely got any wind or rain. Didn't even lose power.

No kidding. I don't think I could ever live on a coastline. Or California, because of earthquakes. Of course, I live right smack in tornado alley and have to deal with tornados all the time.

I swear, I'm moving to Colorado as soon as I graduate. Give me long, snowy winters and mild summers any day! Are you a big skier, Michelle? Skiing is kind of an obsession of mine.
