The Everwood Twenty Questions Game #1
New game! Whoot!
Here's how it works: someone posts that he or she is thinking of a [person, object, scene, or whatever]. The other players are allowed to ask a total of three "before/after" questions to help determine the time at which the scene occurred/the object or character appeared/etc. For example: "After Colin's death?" or "Before Ephram's aborted Juilliard audition?" These questions are counted separately from the general yes/no questions, of which, surprise! Twenty are permitted. (It almost never takes that long for someone to guess the right answer, though.) These questions would fall along the lines of "Takes place in the Brown house?" or "Belongs to Harold?", basic things like that. So, to get the ball rolling: I'm thinking of a scene... __________________

Does each person ask the 3 questions together or one at a time?
Do the 20 yes or no questions start after everyone has asked their 3 before/after questions? *Sorry, I'm slow* |

There are only a total of three timeline questions allowed, asked one at a time (but one person could ask all three, if that's how things went, just not in the same post -- though you are allowed to ask both a yes/no and a before/after question in the same post if you want, since it makes things go a little faster.). Also, the timeline questions can be asked at any time, in the midst of the yes/no question-asking -- often, they're more helpful when you do know a little more about the basic facts of the thing in question, since it helps narrow things down a lot.
Hee, this all sounds way more complicated than it actually will be in practice. It's just tricky setting up a new game. __________________

I think I get it, but I may end up being confused as we go along, hee.

Eee, I'm back to being confused. Poor Thief, you're going to pretty much have to hold our hands through this, heh.
Although now with a few seconds of thinking (it's a wonder how much that helps, heh) I think I totally get what you just did. Alright! Nothing to see here people. I'm no longer confused. Is it a comedic scene? (Is that too broad of a question?) __________________

Hee! I think we all had an easier time of it when I imported the Tournament Game concept, .

So, in other words, Hannah is not in the scene but it is a funny scene?

Yeah, you both have it, hee. Everything listed under 'Yes' is true of the scene (it's comedic), while everything listed under 'No' is, well, not true of it (no Hannah). I could just switch to listing things out, though -- that actually might be easier. Plus, it would be numbered, so I wouldn't have to count each time to see how many questions were left, .
