Episode Discussion: Episode #308-"The Tipping Point"
from thewb.com:
Fresh | monday | 9/8c trailer Struggling to select the music program for his Julliard audition tape, Ephram (Gregory Smith) seeks guidance from his music teacher and mentor, Will Cleveland (James Earl Jones), but faces losing one of the most important relationships in his life after he regretfully hurts Will's feelings. Meanwhile, Andy (Treat Williams) and Amanda (Anne Heche) experience a miraculous breakthrough in their music therapy with Amanda's husband (guest star Jason Beghe), but Andy quickly begins to question whether their celebratory mood is premature; and Bright (Chris Pratt) continues down his unfortunate path of apathy by getting fired from his job - for getting intimate with a waitress in the supply closet - and lying to his parents (Tom Amandes and Merrilyn Gann). Emily VanCamp, Debra Mooney, John Beasley, Vivien Cardone and Stephanie Niznik also star. David Hudgins & Michael Green wrote the episode directed by Jordan Levin. __________________

I’m really not looking forward to seeing Bright in a “downward spiral.” They seem to love to do that on WB dramas, because they did that with practically every character on Dawson’s Creek, except for Joey “Aren’t I just perfect and adorable” Potter, and they did it to Amy last year here on Everwood, and I personally find these stories to be boring and predictable.

I couldn't agree more Jerry
When I first began watching Everwood, I loved it from the beginning, cause it wasn't your everyday Teen Drama, it had potential to become a very stable family show that adresses everyday issues and a show where people can relate to it, but lately it has become very predicatable and I love Bright and I want so many good things for him, but lately he has been selfish on occasions and so undecided and I hate to say it, but I love him with Hannah, even though she isn't his typical date and he was kinda mean to her and misleading and cause we know he is a ladies man, I dunno something about her innocence, makes him so more appealing when he is with her. I dunno though.. __________________

I'm ready for a new episode since I had to endure and entire week without a new Everwood fix. God...how am I gonna make it through the hiatus?

I also have no idea how I am going to make it through hiatus. I guess my dvd and vcr will be getting a work out while watching Everwood reruns.
Jerry, I couldn't agree more. I am certainly not looking forward to seeing Bright crash and burn. It is the predictable route. Hopefully, it will not be drawn out and Bright will be heading uphill in a short period of time. I also knew you would take a shot at Joey Potter. Well deserved though. Pacey, even Dawson, Andie, Jack, Audrey and poor Jen (how many times did we have to see it with Jen?) had their fair share of being pulled down in sinking mode, and Joey always stayed afloat. Funny how that worked out? |

I'm actually looking forward to the Bright story, because it means more Bright and that can't be a bad thing. Plus, Hannah can save him. I'm all over that.

Ok
I am a huge Everwood fan, but tonight did not cut it for me. Aside from James Earl Jones (who is just amazing) and the Harold/Rose storyline, I couldn't even get through this episode. And hopefully old Dawson's Creek fans can agree with me, that next weeks episodes looks like The WB is repeating "A Winter's Night" from 4th season of Dawson's Creek. I mean ... that honestly dissapointed me the most. I miss my show ... what is happening to it this year. Although, I like Anne Heche, but they're not really utilizing her right now. It's very subtle. There is no REAL drama at the moment. Where is Madison? The Application? The attraction? Nina? Etc. This show neeeds to speed up and bring some real drama to the table. I am hoping with the hiatus approaching, that something huge will pop its head in, and leave us hanging. I hope I'm right. __________________
