Episode Discussion #321: "Oh The Places You'll Go"

from TheWB:

Feeling there is nothing keeping him in Everwood and desperately needing distance from Andy (Treat Williams), Ephram (Gregory Smith) prepares to leave family and friends behind for a new life in Europe. However, he's caught off-guard and questions his plans when Andy reveals the secret that Amy (Emily VanCamp) has been keeping from Ephram. Meanwhile, Nina (Stephanie Niznik) and Jake (Scott Wolf) contemplate going into business together, but the stress on their relationship proves a big obstacle to overcome, and Bright (Chris Pratt) confesses to Ephram that he has developed feelings for Hannah (Sarah Drew).

Debra Mooney, John Beasley, Vivien Cardone, Merrilyn Gann and Tom Amandes also star. Perry Lang directed the episode from a teleplay by Rina Mimoun and David Hudgins and a story by Bruce Miller.

Man I'm so excited with the Bright/Hannah storyline. This is what I have been waiting for! Bright finally coming out in the open about his feelings for Hannah. We are so close...it's getting more exciting as the episodes goes on!

I have mixed feelings about this upcoming episode.

I hear this is Greg Smith's last appearence in the show for this year, so that's going to be sad. I also can't stand to see each week, the further destruction of the Amy/Ephram relationship, despite the fact that I realize they need this time apart to sort things out; along with the now severly broken relationship between Ephram and his father. And let's not even get into the heartbreaking scenes now a days, hav ing to do with Rose :( I really really hope they do not kill her off, that would just be too much :( :(

BUT! Aside from all the sad stuff going on, I am greatly looking forward to the hopefully soon new couples of Everwood; Andy/Nina and Bright/Hannah.

Right now, I think it's safe to say that the 'maybe' couples Andy/ Nina and Bright/Hannah are the only happy thing going on in Everwood right now.

Makes one really wish the show would go back to it's season 1 feel...

This sounds like a good episode. I'll probably cry again. :)

BTW - This may be Greg's last episode for the season, but he's still coming back for Season 4, isn't he??

jediwands 05-15-2005 06:17 PM

Yes. There has been absolutely not one ounce of any indication that Greg is not coming back for season 4. This was a crazy rumor that was started a short while back and really, that's all it is.. And an unfounded one, at that. Greg/Ephram possibly not being in the finale directly correlates with the storyline and not due to anything else. I think we can all be confident in this. :)

Assuming there *is* a season 4... I mean I can't see how they'd do the show without him. I've hard a few things, but I don't want to say in case there are spoiler sensitive eyes; I don't want to say anything, lol :)

hmm, lookig forward to tonight :)

I don't mind the overll sadness and drama...I'm not a peron who wants shows to remain the same...I loved GG's 4th season, and I love "new" Rory....I can't bear watching season one of a lot of shows anymore...

I believe I heard somewhere that Everwood was picked up for another season. Which is spectacular news IMO!

This looks like another good episode, building up to the heart-shattering finale - like always. I can't wait to see how things play out, and the moment Ephram leaves, how his relationships with Amy and Andy will be ... whether he fights with them and leaves, and whatever.

jediwands 05-16-2005 01:59 PM

Yeah, there has been little bits everywhere today that Everwood has been picked up for season 4 and that the official announcement will be made tomorrow. :D

smoothaise 05-16-2005 02:05 PM

I hope it's all true ... not that I doubt it wouldn't be.

jediwands 05-16-2005 02:10 PM

I can give you about a 99.9999% certainty. :D

But I'm with ya, until you hear that official word, then it's time to relax.

smoothaise 05-16-2005 02:12 PM

:lmao: Exactly!

jediwands 05-16-2005 02:15 PM

Ken, I know you're an AD fan, did you happen to hear the EXCELLENT news about the show? Renewed for a FULL SEASON! Gaby told me and I went over to the board and saw the official announcement. That's awesome news. :D

Very glad to here this! :) I've been waiting for that news since the begininng of May. I can't wait until we get the official word now. That will definatly make it easier to relax.

Back on topic. I can't wait for tonight's episode. It's going to be amazing, just like Everwood usually is. I really can't wait for the Rose storyline, it will be great. I know it's going to be so sad, but I'm still excited.

Aw, Julia's gift was the Dr. Seuss book for which the episode was named. That and her message was so sweet. As was Ephram's goodbye to Delia. I have to sleep now. See your posts tomorrow.
