Can't blame you for not wanting to travel in the show, Koni. How far away are they?

And to the plan to get your coworker out. Hot females usually do the trick, indeed.

Betty!!! Your last night in America for a while! Bring us souvenirs!

Eeek there was a local 3-building fire tonight. Only about a 15 minute walk from my flat...

I keep in touch with them over phone - almost every day. And I go home once in 2-3 months. During the winter I do it rarer because it's cold and snowy and I hate traveling in such weather.
That's tough for your parents, but they've got it better than I do. I only see my daughter twice a year.

Yes!! And was informed that we're going to see an Earth, Wind, and Fire concert while I'm out there. A little reminiscent of Everwood.

Wow, Gaby. That's scary.

Yep, hot female chicks trick always works .

It's not that far away, the problem is the hours that I travel. I live near the station - enough to not have bus that works for me, so I have to walk 30 minutes to the station, to catch a bus (usually it takes some waiting for at least 15-20 minutes till the bus take off) and after 2 hours I'm in another town, but I don't live there, so I have to wait another 10-15 minutes until I catch another bus. So after 30 minutes I could be home. All in all it's about 4 hours and when you waste that time twice in 3 days it's tiring. At least for me.

Betty, of course they are better than you, far better. I think that they have some problems, because I'm the only kid and even living not so close to them makes them sad. I can't complain though - I spent half of my life till I was 18 telling them that I want to leave that town and go somewhere else. I was 6 and I was talking about this. Even back then I couldn't fit in that place and I never did and I was feeling like an alien . So they don't have choice - they will have to accept that I'm happier somewhere else. And as parents they want me to be happy.

Betty, I don't know about souvenirs, but could you show us at least a picture? I've never been there, so it would be interesting.

Gaby, that's scary.

That is the bottom line. Most parents just want their kids to be happy. I have 3 kids and only one of them lives in the same State or Country that I do. I feel sad that I can't see them as much as I want, but I am so glad that they thriving and very happy where they are.

I will do my best to post pictures. No souvenirs? How about some Belgium chocolate? I will be visiting Belgium for a couple of days!

Oh I accept souvenirs too. Chocolate from Belgium sounds yummy.

And yeah most parents want their children to be happy, although I know some parents that are a bit selfish and think about their happiness .

Wow, I don't know about Easter, but I'm pretty busy at work - I have to jungle with at least 3-4 tasks in the same time. I'm responsible for certain project and I have to help the coworkers that work on it plus my tasks on the project, but I have to implement task from another project that concerns something that I do and I prefer to do it on my own.

And then there is a project from another team that I need to review, because they basically want to replace some functionality that I've done, so I need to review their project as beta tester and then to plan the tasks that need to be done on my side and to find some phased approach how to do it.

And all this would happen the next two weeks.

Ooh, Belgium chocolate, eh? Add me to the list for that. Hee, oh, Betty, have the awesomest time evar! I know you're going to see some amazing sights and enjoy another culture and everything in Europe, but I bet it's going to be most exciting to see your daughter and get to visit with her. Give her a big when you get there!

Yikes, yeah, that does sound very tiring!! Do they come and visit you as well? That would be easier on you at least, heh.

Taryn, how are things going with you and the family?

Really good. We're getting a house!!!!! We went and looked at a house last week that we've had our eye on since before Christmas, made an offer on Friday, had it accepted on Saturday, and now we're in the middle of the paperwork. Will be able to move in about 6.5 weeks from today.

I am so excited!!!!!

Oh my goodness!!!!! YAY!!!!!!! Congratulations! That's fantastic! I know that was one of your big desires, and bam, here it is. You're going to have to take a picture of it for us when you all get moved in and settled!

Eeee, yay! New house, new house, new house!

I think this deserves a little this guy:

Taryn that indeed sounds awesome! I'm happy for your family . And yeah I agree we won't deny some pictures of the new house.

Grant, my parents don't visit me often. It's just it's not easy for them either. Granted they have a car, but my father is a nervous driver - he gets pretty worked up when he has to drive to the city where I live. I live in the capital, with a lot of traffic and that makes him a bit frustrated. Plus during the winter he's really busy - sometimes he works 20 hours a day, he has no time to sleep properly or eat. Whenever he has the time, he uses it to rest.

During the summer it's a bit easier, but he uses his free time to take care of other things - like growing grape and so on. This makes him feel good, so I don't want him to get stressed out by going to the city. And my father won't allow my mother to drive the car alone to the capital. This will make him even more nervous, so she has to take the bus, which is the same - like I'm taking the bus. I prefer to do it, because this way I could see also my cousin and my grandmother, so it's better for me to visit them than the other way around.

Hee, the bunny only comes out for special occasions.

Wow, 20 hour days??? What does your father do, if you don't mind me asking.

That makes sense that you don't want them to do that travel, though. Nice, too.
