I had a crazy day yesterday. My company put on a new Anti-Virus software that didn’t allow us to access the Japanese website, so I spent the day working with the remote IT department to try and fix the issue, since I brought up the issue to the IT Manager. There were about 30 people at my company affected by this, including my boss. My co-worker, who’s really smart, figured out the issue (they removed the old Anti-Virus software when they installed new Anti-Virus software and the Japanese VPN, which we use to access the Japanese website, only recognized the old Anti-Virus software) but they didn’t listen to him and they kept trying different things to fix the problem, and they finally realized that my co-worker was correct, so they reinstalled the old Anti-Virus software. On top of that, the IT Manager, who’s incredibly lazy, asked me to contact Japan about this issue, even though I told him who to contact there, so I had to write Japan about this issue, which infuriated me. This morning, the IT Manager wanted me to troubleshoot issues, but my boss finally put his foot down and told him that he needed to do it.

On top of that, when I got home, both my home Internet was down and the Cell Phone Tower for T-Mobile was down in my area, so I had no access to the Internet and I couldn’t call or text anyone. My home Internet came back on sometime during the night after I was asleep, and I had a fitful sleep due to all the stress I was under.

Today has been a better day so far!

Oh my gosh, Jerry, when it rains it pours!

I am so sorry about the work fiasco and of course you had to be directly involved. Thank God your boss did the right thing. Then your home internet issues as well! Wow. So glad everything was straightened out, both at work and home.

We had severe thunderstorms and tornado warnings going off from 9 PM until 3 AM. It was very weird because it’s not even severe weather season which typically takes place in July.

I hear you! No one seems to be wearing masks anymore and it's frustrating. On plane today while flying back I wore my mask. The stewardess came up to me with a drink without a mask, so I asked her if masks were mandatory and she said, "No, the rule was changed." So...no more masks at airports or airplanes. That's alarming! :eek"
Wait wait, it was???

I thought I read it wasnt, even though soem states were trying to make that happen...

How long have they been together and do you live close to them?
I think 12 years now... I think they got married when she was 24 and shes 36 now.

And they used to live about 20 minutes from me, but now I love on the coast so its about an hour and 20.

Quote:
Does his side live in Oregon too? Is he religious? Yes, it is interesting how we pick romantic partners. Oh that's right, Mormons do not drink coffee. I would die
He grew up in Alaska and his whole family lived there, then he moved to Oregon for college, thats where he and my sister met. They actually met in spain because they were both on an abroad program lol. But he went to Western Oregon. They basically dated over there off and on for like 6 months and then came back and were immediately together. That following New Years he proposed. It was only a year that theyd been together at that point. I thought it was way too fast.

His family then all moved to the west coast. His parents live in Sunriver, Oregon and some other family members live in Seattle and some in San Francisco.

They are not religious at all. Not even my BIL. When they are around his family they go to church sometimes. His mom tried to get them to become mormom quite a few times but like i said, my sister always refused lol.

But this is what makes it such a joke because he is not religious or believes in conservative values at all, so its BS.

Mormom religion is just... no. Not for me. They have the dumbest rules! Wearing the undergarments all the time too? Like, come on. It sounds like such a joke to me, im sorry. Also no soda and coffee is ridiculous. His mom wasnt even mormon growing up, she was catholic and then converted before she got married to his dad. Shes the more religious one now though lol. Weird. I will never get religion.

Did her husband date a lot before they met?
Uh yeah, he dated a lot of girls. in fact when he first started dating my sister he was actualyl seeing another girl at the same time. To be fair, they were not offiial or anything but it sounded like a jerk move. He ended up just ghosting my sister for a little bit to go see this other girl and my sister was mad at him but then he eventually tried talking to her again and tried telling her he liked her, not the other girl and eventually she caved and gave him another chance. She was in spain for all of this and sending me emails at the time (which I still have). So yeah, not a great first impression.... Also, Ive heand hes a big flirt and Ive heard some stories from other friends that he was flirting with them while he was married to my sister. A lot of people dont like him. Im pretty sure he had an affair briefly with this girl he worked with too. Sigh. But like i said, my sister basically said she didnt care. Its sad.

Is your mom and her friend getting along better? How much longer until she comes home? How are the cats?
No . My mom had to get her own hotel room because she couldnt stand rooming with her. They are total opposites. My mom likse to keep the windows open cuz shes always hot and also get up early. Her friend likes to sleep in and is always cold lol. My uncle doesnt seem to liek her friend that much either. Sounds like they are all getting sick of each other. My mom also said that my uncle is jst go go go too much and wants to walk everywhere and she has blisters and stuff.

She gets back in 10 days! I am so relieved to be done with the cats they are too much for me lol.

I'm for sure wearing my mask to the airport for hawaii! There aint no way I am getting sick.

Thanks! It was so weird not to have any means of communication at all! My land line is tied to my Internet Service and my Cable TV (I have a bundle plan where I get all 3 from the same provider) so we were dead in the water last night. No TV, no phone, and no Internet. It's weird how dependent we've all become on those three services.

The dark side, indeed!

How was your trip and flight?
Flight was very smooth thankfully! I used some of my miles to upgrade to Business class, so I was very comfortable.

I hope everybody is well here. Getting back to my rewatch soon. Just been a little busy the last few months but I’ll try to be more active.

Too much twitter for me. Haha. Need to make more time to come here. Just so much stuff I’m watching it’s been hard to make time for rewatching things but I’ll get back to it.

Also, I need more Everwood. That hasn’t changed since I’ve been gone.

Welcome back Betty! Business class is fantastic, isn't it? I flew Business class to Japan years ago and I loved it!

I see. Do you like being 20 minutes away or almost 1 1/2 hours?

Were there warning signs maybe it wasn't a good match or overall they seemed to be a good match even if it was too fast?

Wow, yes, that's why I figured he was a rigid, strict conservative... due to religion. So we cannot even blame his Trump love on the bible thumping crazed religious extremists.

That's very interesting. I remember playing traveling basketball with someone who was Mormon and she couldn't play on Sunday's. It was so freaken stupid. If we were in a tournament and were in the championship (almost always on Sunday's) she couldn't play! Sunday was a day of rest. LOL. Absolutely ridiculous. So many arrive at our doorstep trying to sell us the religion. I take pleasure in slamming their door in their faces. Is your niece and nephew being raised under any faith or no?

THAT SUCKS. Definite warning signs in the beginning, but like you said up thread, your sister doesn't have a ton of dating history and that has to play a big part, especially with kids involved.

Oh no! I hope they are all talking to each other when they get back from Europe. Good for your mom getting her own hotel room though. That has to help some so she can be by herself and recharge for another day.

Maybe in the future you and your mom can go back to Europe and hit some places you've always wanted to see and your mom liked, once again?

It really is weird how dependent we've all become on those three services. I remember the days when phones were not meant to go with you places and certainly zero Internet capability. I love watching Stranger Things which is everything 80s. It is so much fun how it takes you right back there, I love it so much. Bikes were everything, life was so different and good different back then minus Regan.

Awe, thanks!

We had another minor round of severe weather this evening too, but nothing like Wednesday night. It is just so strange because we never get this kind of weather this time of the year. What's your weather like right now?

Awe, hello! How are you doing? What shows are you currently watching?

I always need more Everwood and we are currently doing a board rewatch (topped thread).

Too much Twitter it is. I am only on there basically to lurk but I have a feeling things are changing very quickly due to who is set to buy Twitter.

In the end, traditional message boards like are always priceless and really my favorite forum. You can count on them and I believe a site like has way more depth than those "sexy" social media platforms.
