No, I have to go into the office starting today. I'll see how I feel once I'm there and if I really feel lousy I'll go home.

Well I think they respect his knowledge but the one Regional Manager I deal with can't stand him. This Regional Manager is no prize himself though. My boss keeps a lot of knowledge to himself for job security, so I don't think that they'd ever get rid of him.

I remember you mentioned you went to Japan once. Did you go to Japan with your boss or did I just make that up? Lol. I remember you talking about this. Have you gone to Japan on business just once?

I believe it was about 18 years ago.

Yes, I went to Japan with my boss, and I had to endure being on a plane with him for 14 hours! It was a fate worse than death! Fortunately for me, he stayed longer so I didn't have to travel back with him.

What year did you guys go and how long were you two there together before you left? I bet the flight home felt heavenly.

We went in July of 2014 and I was stuck with him for 4 days. We were there for training. He wouldn't let me play tourist even though one of the managers told him to give me the afternoon off so I could look around.

Yes, the flight home was like heaven compared to the flight there! I flew business class and it's a whole different flying experience especially on a Jumbo Jet. You have a seat that is so roomy and that you could even adjust so it's like a bed, and the food is fabulous. There are two seats in a separated partition that gives you total privacy with a big screen in front of you.

Oh my God, that is awful he wouldn’t let you check out Japan… even an afternoon and the one told him to give you an afternoon. That’s horrible. No one, even on business, should fly across the world and not get a chance to explore. Your boss is horrible.

How was Japan? Did you get to see some of it? I've always wanted to go.

Michelle, I was supposed to see him at four pm, that is DISTINCTLY what they said on the voicemail message. Then I woke up this morning at 11am and they had sent a reminder to my phone saying my appointment was 11:20 am. Like, wtf??? That is not even the time they gave me. Not even close lol. So I didnt go because there is no way I would even be ready?

I am going go at four like planned, I'm assuming hes not in though. But maybe theres a nurse that can at least look at it and see if its healing okay... Weird. I need to also get a hold of him on a personal email or something of that sort so I can maybe at least just send a photo to him, idk.

He really is horrible.

Flying Business Class internationally is a totally different and better experience than flying Economy Class domestically. I loved it, but I wouldn't want to have to pay for it!

I liked Japan and it was nice, but I didn't get to see much of it due to my idiot boss. The subways are very crowded but very clean and safe, and we ate at some great restaurants. When we went to the factory of my parent company, everything is much more regimented than it is here. Everyone has to wear a work uniform, even the people who worked in the office (we didn't have to wear one) and they have strict policies about taking breaks, and they make everyone eat lunch at the company cafeteria, and there's just a certain amount of time allotted for lunch and each break, and if people smoke, they can only take one smoke break. The Japanese Nationals who have worked with us in the United States are always unhappy when they have to go back! They generally stay here 3 to 5 years and then they go back, but currently there are no Japanese Nationals here, and now that we're being sold off by the Japanese company we'll probably never have any Japanese Nationals working here again.

Oh man, I hate when times get changed and they of course think it’s your fault.

Yes, hopefully a nurse will see it. In many ways nurses, especially at a specialty clinic, can spot out infection instantly. They see it first. So if you can get a nurse to take a look, most definitely she’ll tell you if it is healing OK.

Did you have the option of bringing Teresa with? Then again, it’s a good thing that she didn’t go because your boss made it so you had zero extra time.

A lot of people here in America are fascinated by Asian culture. I always find it interesting because I’m not one of those people to be honest, and like you even said many Asians that are here and have to go back don’t want to.
