Yeah it's frustrating . I see, but not properly and I can't read or be on a computer for a week or so. So basically I can't do anything for a week.

That has to be horrible! I do know that some places have machines that make it so you do not need your pupils dilated because the machine does it instead. It's not a common thing, you can just get lucky every once in a while since some places do have this. I know a place right next to my house that has this machine but I don't go to this clinic.
There is another way to check those issues, but I can't do that either. They cut put a lens in your eye and do the exam, but they will have to fully sedate me to achieve this. I have so strong reflex that they would not be able to put anything in my eye.

That said, I swear to God I've noticed when I get those dilating eye drops my floaters get worse every time I get them. I've asked the doctor about this and he said that's unlikely to be the cause but I know better.
Hm interesting. I wonder why it happens like that.

I'm still not sleeping much. I slept 3 hours only the night before and last night I slept from midnight to four. I am not sure why this is happening but I guess thinking about it will only make it worse. Today I have dental appointment which will be interesting. I have one chipped tooth, and four more that need crowns at the very least. I was once proud that I never needed braces or even a retainer and now due to low estrogen and the IgA Deficiency my teeth are cracking like they have zero stability. Another oh well, lol.
Sucks about your teeth issues . Keep me posted on how the appointment goes. Agh it is so frustrating that we can't find why you can't sleep.

Yes, that seems too drastic. I would prefer the week without seeing perfectly if even annoying.

I honestly don't know but I've looked at eye forums in the past and asked this very question on one of the forums and received like 50 posts talking about this issue with people agreeing with me, even people stating they've asked about this and the eye doctor shoots it down. It further strengthens my theory that it can happen but eye doctors won't admit to it since they make money off of eye exams using this method. Obviously it doesn't happen to everyone but it seems as if I am not the only one this happens to based on the response on that forum.

Thanks. My appointment is at 2:20 PM today. I loathe later appointments like that. My entire morning/day is kind of dictated as a result because even my eating schedule is altered. Due to my sensitive GI I would never eat right before the appointment, stuff like that. I probably won't eat breakfast or lunch in fact because I don't want to feel sick during the appointment. I am lucky I got in though because when scheduling the appointment they had a cancellation and it was the only appointment for the next three weeks. So I shouldn't complain.

Problem is that it could be more than week. I have the appointment on Wednesday and I have to be at work next Monday so I will have just 5 days and I am not sure that this would be enough. Last time I did this it was say Saturday. I went to work on Monday and it was so bad that I had to take a week vacation. And indeed it took like almost week to get better.

I see. Yeah I would not be surprised if they just ignore the complaints because it's not in their favor .

My boss can be really unreasonable at times. He annoys me to no end. For example, he knows that I leave at 4:00, and I really have to leave at 4:00 because if I leave any later, the traffic is a lot heavier and it could take me an hour and a half to get home instead of 45 minutes, but he'll often call me in right before 4:00 so I have to stay late. He's very inconsiderate that way. I'm much more productive when I work from home because there are no distractions at home, but he doesn't care. He wants me in the office. I can't wait to be on vacation.

That sucks. I wonder if you do have a clinic like the one I mentioned that has a specific machine that dilates your retina without drops or anything else. There's a clinic within one mile of my house that does this. I know because my sister is good friends with one of the doctors. The doctor's child is the Varsity goalie on Anna and Sara's Varsity team. I know it's unique and not every place has this but maybe a clinic does your way?

Thanks, I will let you know how the appointment goes today.

Your boss sounds very selfish and inconsiderate. Hope today's going okay.

The thing is that I want to go to a specific clinic because I go to specific doctor. She has been my eye doctor for 16 years. When I realized that I had issues I went through 4 doctors until I found her and I plan to keep her as my doctor as long as possible. She knows my history and she keeps documents on me since the start. I trust her. So basically there is only option for me when it comes to clinics and it's where she works.

Did you have it already or it's still too early?

Got it. It's all about trust and history so I can see why you want to stick with her. Is she aware of what happens to you when you get your eyes dilated?

Nope but they called and asked if I could come in at 1:45 instead of 2:20 so I'm leaving shortly. I'll arrive at 1:30 just in case they can take me ever earlier.

Back from dentist...

Basically the chipped tooth my dentist thinks he can fill but still might need root canal. However, even so, given what tooth it is, my insurance fully covers it. However, the tooth next to one extracted (that I am getting an implant for) needs a root canal. It is too deep for him to do so I need to see a specialist for that one. Insurance refuses to cover this one so I have to pay in full. The other two that need crowns my regular dentist will do once he takes care of the premolar and I see the specialist for the molar. I wish my regular dentist could do everything but I guess my luck sucks so there you go, lol.

I will call around tomorrow for the right specialist. I tried today but it's close to closing and I am not getting anywhere. I'll start fresh in the morning.

Regarding Buddy... since he's having flare ups... vet did the diagnostics and sent to radiologist... esophagus looks fine, no obstructions anywhere... however his intestines look slightly thickened which matches up with the specialist saying he had inflammatory bowel. She said on the voice mail (my luck she called when I was at the dentist apt!) we could do another test to check on the IBD. I emailed her questions since I have lots of them like cause and diet change and why we'd do the other test. I have started the probiotics. I read Inflammatory Bowel in dogs just means inflammation/reacting to the diet so it's about getting the right diet figured out. Well I thought I did since he never had a flare up for 8 months until now. Sucks. Oh well, we'll communicate.

I'm sorry that you're having problems with your teeth Michelle, and I'm sorry that you have to pay for the root canal that you need yourself. I had a lot of problems with my teeth over the years. I have a bunch of crowns, a bridge, and an implant.

I hope that you and Buddy's vet will be able to figure out what diet works for him.

I went back to work today and my boss dumped a bunch of work on me knowing that I'm off next week. He can be an incredibly inconsiderate slave driver at times.

Thanks, Jerry.

I'm still trying to figure out what would be best... pulling then implant or root canal then crown. I'm going to make some calls and figure it out tomorrow.

Thank you. I was shocked she said the radiologist noted thickening in his intestines. I don't recall this being noted before. I emailed her a bunch of questions and she'll call back tomorrow with the answers. I'm hoping the probiotic he just started yesterday will help along with the diet and possible medication.

What a prick!!!! This just enrages me! He also knows you're getting over an infection too. Horrible! Will you have to work from home on vacation to get stuff done or can you get it all done this week?

What a piece of work he is.

Implants are actually more permanent than getting a root canal and a crown, but they're more expensive and I think they take longer to do. That was the case when I had mine done, but that was 10 years ago. With a root canal, the tooth becomes a dead tooth and they can become brittle with time. That happened to me and I ended up losing my front tooth that had a crown on it and I had to get a bridge.

I might have to work from home on vacation to get stuff done, but I hope not. I'm just so tired of working and I'm tired of him.

What is a bridge? Have you had luck with good dental insurance as far as paying for crowns, root canals?

He seriously sounds like a thoughtless, selfish nightmare. He damn well knew what he was doing by giving you this work knowing you're on vacation next week. I hope you get everything done by the time Friday night hits and you can forget about your boss for a whole week. How's Teresa's job going?
