I like that Nathan & Jamie are on tour with Haley. (Love the little LA & Chicago shots)
Fantastic!!! So different from Haley's first tour. Now she can fulfill her dream and enjoy her beautiful family at the same time.

Andre
He is adorable! Every time I see him I think of Q.

UGH what a horrible Brooke/Julian exchange. I have no words. Very poor communication.
That was definitely a nonproductive conversation! I believe that each one has a point and neither on of them is hearing the other.

Quinn/Clay are so awkward for me.
So forced! Their like a couple of 13 year olds.

Quote:

I love Alex. (It's funny that Alex & Victoria are the ones trying to help Millie)
It is!! You'd think it would be Brooke.

Quote:

Totally forgot that Taylor dates David. How horribly stupid.
Taylor is an idiot to flaunt David in Quinn's face...but David is a jerk to play along! What is he thinking?!?

jediwands 05-17-2015 02:11 PM

I will have my thoughts on Taylor in the next episode review. I hate how she's being used to pimp Quinn. Taylor was never this bad back in season 2. Mark's using Taylor in caricature form to forcefeed Quinn. Not going to work with me.

That's an excellent way of stating it. Their dialogue sounds YOUNG, like they're children. Problem is, they're supposedly grown adults which makes them ultra annoying!!!!!

How lucky for her!!!!

Joy's voice is so beautiful. What a talented woman she is... amazing actress, intensely talented musician.
A gorgeous voice. You're right...she sounds like a angel!

Julian is such a moron. I can't stand him right now. What a loser at the airport with Alex like that. Lame.
 Horrible! I realize he wants to help Alex, but doesn't he realize how it looks....especially to Brooke? I know how it looks and I'm not even Brooke!

I actually only like Quinn when she's around Haley and they're actual sisters.
The two of them are terrific together and I like quinn alot with Jamie as well.

Millicent's pathetic. Victoria bails her out and she can't even thank her.
I despise Millicent right now. I don't know how I can ever like her again.

Quote:

Julian has no right questioning who Alexander is and even insinuating that Brooke would be so pathetic that she'd pick a guy with a name of ALEXander. What a complete moron.
As far I Julian is concerned....he has no right to say anything to Brooke right now.

Quote:

Oh my God it's painful to watch Clay and Quinn... they are so forced and unnatural.
I totally agree with this! I was a fan in the very beginning, but I am getting turned off with these two more and more each episode.

Quote:

Victoria IS turning soft. It's adorable. I loved Daphne Zuniga's character (Jo) on Melrose Place and the softer Victoria gets, the more Jo comes back to life for me. It's a cool thing.
I adore this Victoria!!!

. Are you caving yet with Alex, Betty?
I was caving and then I started to dislike her again when she called about the party. Then I caved again when I realized she went to the party to save Millie!
I do think, however, that ALex (as a woman) should realize what another woman would think and how that other woman would feel when she is always showing up with this other woman's boyfriend.

Joy really did a nice job with the classic by the one and only, Pat Benatar - We Belong. Wow her voice always amazes me, both Pat and Joy, haha.
I love that song!!

So Julian called the shots again with Brooke... he basically broke up with her, or put them on a more continued break, whatever. GROSS. I hate this. Brooke and Julian just piss me off now as a couple. I hate Brooke looking weak!
I believe that Brooke is right here, but I don't want her to look weak either! SHe needs to act like she doesn't give a s#it! Julian is the one who should grovel.

Clay and Quinn, kissing on the first date, showcased with sparkles and magic... you got your Lucas/Peyton replacement (in your mind), Mark. Too bad it falls flat on its a$$.
I seriously was not a magical kiss! Where was the confetti?

Nathan's adorable making sure Jamie's friends were taken care of and Jamie was in a better place with his friends. Adorable! Nate, you're awesome.
Nate is so freaking wise! He knows the score and knows how to fix everything!

Taylor's back! I like this. She's the sister who has spunk and energy, she's the actress who can also act. LOL
This is true...but she is also a troublemaker! And she shouldn't come visiting with David in tow.

Especially since he fell in love with Peyton and Brooke and Alex is sexy as hell and he knows it.

Quote:

I had no idea she got into hardcore drugs before viewing it. It's shocking. What's sad is it might have been a heartfelt story if written and/acted properly. She was a shy, bumbling, insecure young woman. This story could have had us feeling sorry for but instead the exact opposite transpired.

See the reason why we are even talking about this is because of what Alex looks like. What if she was unattractive? We wouldn't even discuss this. It's not Alex's fault she looks like she does. It's Julian's fault for not communicating properly with his girfriend. I just can't blame the woman here. It's the man who should know better and is not single. An unspoken deal between women only gives men a break. It's not like Brooke and Alex are even friends. They had a business agreement and even that's severed. Alex doesn't owe Brooke anything. Julian is the one forcing the movie now, not Alex. He's the one failing. Blame should be on him alone. HE is the one in a relationship showing up with Alex, who is single. This is all on him.

Quote:

I honestly think Mark tried making the ocean kiss like Lucas/Peyton after the game.

He's such a great father. He's done this many times before, like when Chuck was bullying Jamie with the cape.

Nathan for the win!

Quinn doesn't even care. Mark failed in his attempt to demonize Taylor and David in order to make Quinn and Clay angelic. Not working with me.

I like reading your thoughts, guys. :)

On top of all the Brooke/Julian drama, I don't even like the Brooke/Haley talks that come from it. Brooke has gone to Haley a couple of times for advice, and Haley just keeps saying "Julian loves you." I don't feel like Haley is really listening. Just poor communication all around for me.

It all gets even more ridiculous in the next episode IMO with Quinn/Clay/David/Taylor/Haley. SO SILLY. None of it makes much sense, mainly Clay being there by Quinn's side. :lmao:

I think Victoria was right when she told Julian that he likes that Alex likes him...
I get that he wants to "save" her, and I believe that too, but he also likes that she likes him. Poor Brooke.

I agree that the Millie storyline had potential, but it didn't play out well at all. It sucks.

 Haley/Taylor/Nate... I think it's silly, but whatever.

Lucas' house.

Sweet Mouth/Millie moment

:lmao: Kylie (I think that's her name) in Clay's pool. So funny to me. Good timing.

Nathan making a video game is kinda cool.

Quinn not reacting to David/Taylor is way weird.

Alexander had to deliver Julian's stuff?

"I just needed some space." "Well, you got it." Why does this have to be so horrible? :(

Quinn's way to make a point was to lay in his pool too?!?! Ugh. I don't understand that.

Haley sitting on the counter spoiling her appetite. :lmao: "Hey Brooke, sup?" "I was just feeling a little lost, so I thought I'd come see the most stable couple I know." These pep talks Haley keeps giving Brooke all sound the same. "He loves you."

Nathan is so patient.

Whoa Peter.... "cut deeper next time." Why'd they hire this guy in the first place?

This James sisters dinner is ridiculous. Pretty comical, though.
In the pool...

Lauren/Mouth

Brooke showing some compassion for Millie. It's about time.

Well, Quinn treated David better this episode. That's good.

This Brooke/Julian scene IS SO CONFUSING. Why are they getting along?

Nathan/Haley in bed... They are precious.

Does Mouth ever leave town and stay there?
Now...is he going to hook up with Lauren? Why are the characters and relationships on this show constantly being recycled?

Nathan/Haley in bed are adorable! "Your family is crazy. "

Great catfight...I guess those James girls really needed that.

Speaking of water....does Clay not own a swimsuit? Seriously....how many suits has he ruined?

I'm glad Quinn finally treated David better and told him the truth. I really felt for David this episode.

Taylor is a bitch....she admitted it. But...she is an entertainig bitch.

I am glad that Millie is coming around and Brooke broke the ice with her. But seriously...I don't think I'll ever feel the same way about Millie again.

This back and forth between Julian and Brooke is becoming ridiculous! Now they're working together on this movie!
I am glad that Julian fired that Director. He was beyond cruel!

I agree with you, Jamie. Haley's advice to Brooke really isn't helpful. Yes...Julian's loves Brooke...but that's not the issue here. Haley's needs to find another way to help Brooke. Perhaps she could try to toughen Brooke up!

Chuck!! Super obnoxious!! Can Jamie invite Andre next time?

Jamie 05-17-2015 05:20 PM

I never really liked Millie again after that either. :( I loved Mouth/Millie early S5, so it's a bummer.

Oh my God, I know! Haley has said that to Brooke more than once! He loves you, how would Haley even know? She's hardly ever been around them. She's also not really listening to the whole story, it's like Haley's just bored or doesn't want to deal with it which is really weird because that's not Haley. It's like Mark has Haley all robotic, saying the same thing over and over again, acting like Brooke is the insane one and she's doing something wrong. I know some Brooke fans actually feel like Mark hates the character and it shows. Initially I didn't agree but at times I have to wonder!

This makes me miss the Peyton/Brooke friendship so much. Peyton would know what to do and say. She would help Brooke. I think this bothers me more than anything else... Brooke's struggles in season 7 would have been a piece of cake for her because she'd have Peyton to lean on. Peyton would toughen her up, Peyton would also bit$h out Julian and probably say a few choice words to Alex, too. Peyton would have helped Brooke by giving her the support system that she needed. It's too bad we couldn't have seen Brooke go off the screen to visit Peyton/Lucas/Sawyer. We could have heard about her visit, even for an episode, giving Sophia an episode off. Brooke could have come back ready to kick some a$$ given the strength she mustered up from being around her best friend and family. It would have been the next best thing.

I miss Peyton and Brooke so much.

Man, Mark seemed to throw in every vulgar expression that he could find in all the scenes involving Taylor, David, Clay, Quinn, Nathan, and Haley. Taylor really became a caricature in this episode (this was NOT the Taylor we saw in season 2, she was wild, carefree but never like this) which is why I actually laughed at her bitchiness and didn't purchase what Mark was selling. Plus, the actresses, Joy and Lindsey, have an insane amount of chemistry. That's why I wish Taylor would have returned and Quinn never would have existed. The chemistry between Joy and Lindsey shines, it's natural and convincing. The chemistry between Joy and Shantel is not there because Joy cannot force chemistry all by herself!

This episode seemed to be designed to make Quinn look like a victim, which is bulls$it in my book. It only makes me dislike her even more.

The Brooke and Julian scenes bored me to tears, I was annoyed as hell in the first scene (Julian was disgusting) and then I am wondering why on earth suddenly they are okay in the later scenes. Huh? Did I miss something? Why are they suddenly okay again, even knowing they are still broken up? WTF is this?

I couldn’t care less about Mouth and Millie right now. I still can't get over her sudden addiction to cocaine, which came out of nowhere. A part of me feels sorry for Millie but another part just doesn't buy the story so it's hard to care too much. I do know that Mouth should have remained in LA at least for a while longer. Why would he come crawling back to Millie? I know he wants to help her but she treated him like a pile of dirt. Plus, I think something's going to happen between Mouth and Lauren. Please say it isn't so, but I can read between the lines and know how Mark ticks. That scene between Mouth and Lauren means something.

I was on both Haley and Taylor's sides (Taylor's because I know what Mark was doing, Taylor wasn't the true Taylor, and plus Quinn sucks so much) and see nothing wrong with Haley getting annoyed by the situation. Her over-the-top reaction was much more realistic and sympathetic than Quinn's blank stare. Quinn, the one who SHOULD be upset seemed more concerned with her obsession with Clay. I think Quinn's lack of caring just pissed Haley off even more. David is clearly still in love with Quinn (or still isn't totally over her) and hurting. How Quinn handled the break up with David was ridiculously annoying. She was so rude and childish. Again, one of many reasons why I can't stand her.

Also, why was that director hitting on Alex like that in such a sexually explicit way? It made me sick. I found it demeaning and sexist. The message Mark is sending annoys the hell out of me... Alex is hot and sexy so it's like Julian can enjoy her crushing on him on an subconscious level, and the director can grab her a$$ and want sex. Throw in the chicks randomly showing up at Clay's place in his pool and Mark had a fun time using women to look like pieces of a$$ in this episode. WTF. Or throw in the comment about Haley being fat. Right, Joy is fat, she's healthy, she's not a freaken stick figure, she looks gorgeous but she's fat! Nice, Mark. You seemed to have a great time making fun of women in this episode and it didn't go unnoticed. :irked:

Good seeing Lucas' house again. Too bad the right people weren't in it. :(

Michelle, I can't say that I disagree with any of your thoughts!

I don't sympathize with Millie at all...her addiction came out of nowhere.
Mouth should not have come back! He's like a puppy. Millie needs tough love!
Taylor is an exaggerated version of herself and is much better than Quinn.
Quinn really hurt David and he still loves her.
Julian and Brooke are annoying in their back and forth interactions.
That director was sadistic!
I also hated the remark regarding Haley's weight! They all wish they had Haley's healthy gorgeous ass!

jediwands 05-18-2015 05:51 AM

This episode featured women in a not so great way (highlighted physical looks, the girl in Clay's pool, Haley's weight, which, don't even get me started on that, the repulsive, ugly director touching Alex against her will, making fun of her suicide attempt, guys loving the catfight) and based on the past comments, I'm not the only one who feels this way. I checked to make sure it wasn't just me. It's like Mark lost his damn mind while constructing this episode.

This episode was a stab against women over and over again. From the woman in the bikini randomly going to Clay's acting like she would sleep with him, to poor Alex being basically molested by that bastard director, Joy being called fat which makes me fume, the catfight with the guys drooling.
