Betty White shined as usual!

I loved seeing Betty White on Everwood. Her character of Carol Roberts was so passive-aggressive and just plain mean and her hatred for Harold knew no bounds, but she was a legend and Everwood was lucky to have her on the show.

Well said.

I remember finding out she was going to guest star and being amazed that Everwood would be able to get Betty White. Not because Betty wasn't grounded or would have said no thinking it was beneath her. No way. I just remember the fact Everwood even thought to ask Betty White to guest star was phenomenal. Guaranteed a One Tree Hill or Dawson's Creek wouldn't have considered it. Everwood's quality was the confidence Berlanti needed in order to even think of Betty White.

She was so mean and you couldn't help hating her, but at the same time loved Betty White even while her character was so horrible! Her essence actually transcended the character.

Everwood had 3 major stars...Emily, Chris, Treat, and Betty White!

So well said. That is precisely how I felt too. How she can even get you interested in a character meant to be awful is precisely why she is a legend.

They had five major stars as they also had James Earl Jones.
