Fair enough, but I do think she was by far better around Felix than Lucas and she would have been an much better character if their relationship continued, at least compared to what she was like around Lucas. For as much **** as I give Felix, he treated Brooke much better than Lucas did.

Well, for sure by season 5. I even think signs were there in seasons 2/3.

so I've rewatched season 2 again. still love JP and BL. not seeing it with LP. kinda neutral on them. on season 3 now.

Same here, especially since I thought both couples were forced in S2.

They were, most definitely.

I think the JP moment that bothers me the most is when he shows up and saves her when she was struggling. That should have been Lucas. Such bad writing.

Agreed, Jake wasn't important enough in S1 to Peyton for that moment to work for them imo.

I think because they needed to justify going back to Brooke/Lucas and that whole storyline wouldn't have worked if Peyton was single.
