Perfect. I showed Alex the title. Well, I just showed her while she's driving home from work now. She will comment when she doesn't risk getting into an accident and can read and text back. LOL.

I have to give a detailed description of what we did now! That is coming up by tonight, mark it down!

PS: NYC = BEST BAGELS ON THE PLANET.

Even Alex was impressed and she brought some home for her family to taste... her little sister ate a day old NYC bagel plain (without butter or anything else!) and said it was tremendous. That says something for Frenchies to love NYC bagels!

Aw. Animals are usually very good at protecting themselves in times like these and knowing when trouble is coming. Cats are especially smart, so I'm sure she'll realize she should be somewhere safe! *crosses fingers*

Just returned from Trader Joe's....bought lots of healthy snacks. I can live on water and snacks for a few days. I also have tons of wine. Things should be good.

Aww, poor kitty. Hopefully her survival instincts kick in and she comes inside(just this once!). All you east coasters stay safe!

So, internet finally got fixed. Thank god too cause I have some online stuff for school that had to be done and that outage would've caused some serious damage. When did we become so reliant on the internet? It's strange to think about how we functioned 5, 10 years ago. Really makes you go, "whoa".

Yeah, I'm still gonna be working...I kinda gots to. I...sort of got myself into debt(those damn credit cards!) and so that all needs to get paid off. I'm figuring I will be debt free by mid/end of November so it's not completely horrible. And I'm only taking 2 classes this semester, just to ease back into things(and because there's this whole thing with financial aid) so 2 classes are pretty much a guaranteed pass. On the plus side with that, my Intro to Psych teacher is the same one from high school, so we have that familiarity thing going. She's really great and funny and I actually learn from her. Always a plus.

Mich, that was some good timing you and Alex had with your trip.

I had plans to go to the city to see 3 other FF friends this weekend, but Irene has forced us to reschedule. Wednesday afternoon's the new plan as I have class from 8 to 8:50 in the morning.

Edit, from the old thread: Yeah, very bittersweet. We had a little party last night, my co-workers and I from that job. That was so sweet. Indeed. Though I believe this other job is over in another 6 weeks or so. I know, it's crazy:

She was so dead tired today... well, you know what she was talking to me about personally (Ahhh) but other than that, she was falling asleep at the computer. I kept telling her to go to bed. She would get up then pause for 10 minutes... because she fell back to sleep again! She did this on and off until 3 AM her time. Now watch, her beautiful kid and my nephew gets her up after two hours or something because he's been doing that again lately.

Anyway, I will show her again tomorrow when she's fully awake so expect a response then!

Wine is goooooood, but I hope you are stocked and well prepared in other areas. Flashlights? Candles?

I know! Seriously. When I go to France before or shortly after Christmas, I am hoping to fly MPLS/NYC/Paris so I can run to NYC (with the layover, if it works out, if not, I'll just go MPLS/Paris direct) and get some bagels, fresh ones, her family can enjoy! She said they were hardly acting like a day old but I cringe at the thought of her little sis (Cap like me, she's so cool) raving over day old bagels when she should have tasted fresh from the oven instead! It still will be about 7/8 hours old but she tasted 24 hours old so at least that's a little better. LOL.

LOL, I know! How insane is that? We leave NYC, an earthquake takes place and now a hurricane is approaching. I am telling you, the City misses us, I'm convinced.

Seriously, the timing was insane. We really got lucky, thank God.
