My Thanksgiving was, thankfully, very mellow and simple. Maybe that's because this year all I was incharge of what refreshments .

Andie - glad to see it's looking up for you and I hope you have fun at the b/day party :D

Ken - "You killed Kenny!" You have excuse my immaturity whenever I make a reference to South Park :goof:, a friend of mine is named Kenny and you would think I would get sick of doing it by now

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I spent the day with family…. Ate dinner at my aunts… came home… rested…. Read a little for my comps, etc. I didn’t even get online.

Today, though, GAH, I shopped and shopped and shopped. I literally shopped for 12 hours. Mom, Sis and I met my aunt at 6:00 this morning to go shopping. I arrived home from fighting crowds about 3:00 to then drive to Wal-Mart and get back home about 6:00. It was a fun day, though, and I got some stuff for myself and some Christmas shopping finished, too! :D

Ah…There is nothing like a day of productivity….

I’m sitting at the computer, drinking tea out of a glass I bought during my 12 hour shopping spree yesterday, back and shoulders aching from today’s labor, tummy full of chili that mom cooked and leftover cranberry/marshmallow dessert from Thanksgiving.

I awoke about 9 this morning after sleeping 11 hours. After I rolled out of bed, I cleaned house, grabbed a quick shower, ate brunch, and then tackled cleaning my garage. My mom and dad came down to help later in the afternoon as much of the stuff in the garage belonged to them.

I live in the house that my grandparents built, that my mom and dad lived in for years. When they moved out, they left lots of their stuff and my grandpa’s stuff in the garage. Now that I’m remodeling, I need it all gone. So mom and dad worked with me several hours this afternoon and the garage is amazingly clean! :yay: Tomorrow, I’ll meet my cousin and her husband (her hubby is the one who will remodel my house) to pick out doors for the garage, etc. I am so excited! :D Maybe work will begin this week.

Even though much of my day was spent doing physical labor (and I haven’t done that as a job in about 7 years), I feel great. Perhaps it’s because of that physical labor that I feel great, though aching. My chiropractor will be chiding me :nono: Don’t get me wrong, I don’t want to do physical labor as a job  It’s nice to do about 8 or 9 hours of hard work, but I do enjoy my lazy job of teaching and department chairing (made that into a word :P ) However, I like that feeling of accomplishment from physical labor.

I think I'm carrying on a conversation with myself...

Anyone out there????

-Katie- 12-04-2004 05:21 AM

I'm here. What do you want to talk about?

Andie 12-04-2004 07:37 AM

Aw, sure hun...I'm around :)

I saw "Chasing Liberty" a while ago... was a cute movie... but getting very far fetched 'til the end  Perhaps I shouldn't watch Alias ...
Nah, different genre :D I liked the movie 'til they "really" went to Berlin. Funny: Bunjeejumping :D

Made more plans for the weekend except family portraits and watching movies?

Andie

Nah, my weekend will mostly be resting to get over this cold, watching the movies I rented, and then the family portraits with my family. Thankfully the guy who is taking the pictures is a friend, and he's coming out to our land. So I won't have to go anywhere.

I got up this morning and did the "have-to" housework -- dishes, trash, laundry, and swept/mopped the worst spots on the floor. The rest can wait till next weekend.

I'll post a bit, get a shower, get ready for the pics, take pics.

My cousin wants me to go with him to the lumber store, later, too, to get stuff for the remodeling of my house.

I need to grade essays this weekend and go to Wal-Mart,too.

What about you?

Impressions 12-04-2004 06:25 PM

I really couldn't stand Chasing Liberty . That is something different because I am usually a fan of Mandy Moore movies but at the end, instead of rooting for them to get together, I found that I was hoping he would leave her

I won't do much this weekend. I'm kind off lazy. My Mom is visting so we'll probably go to a christams fair which is good. They have such pretty stuff :)

I hate the housework stuff... well not all off it but some of it is really boring. *sigh* Well, I have to do it... so *end of transmission*

I'm sure the pics came out very well and you'll look cute :) Nah, you're whole family ;)

Did u go to the lumber store and buy the necessarcy stuff?

I like going to Wallmart. They have almsot everything:D
